has anyone ever refilled a normal carbon filter i seen some vids on you tube where some have done this i am wondering if it would really work for 1 or 2 refills
i am not talking about the refillable carbon filter from ac infinity but a normal carbon filter

i want to get 2 of the refillable carbon filter but right now i cant i need new filters already and i could get like a 30$ bag of activated charcoal and refill the filters i have now until i can afford to get 2 of the refillable ones

I've tried to refill older filters and it is a hassle. My issue always seems to stem from the center not lining up with the cap.

A friend of mine use to service a lot of the indoor grow ops and would take the entire filter, casing and all, and boil it in vinegar and water for a couple hours to refresh the charcoal.

Well option one is to cut it open and change the coals never opened one but should be simple. And option 2 is to bake it at high temps and in vacume would stink a lot and you need equipment.
MAybe cooking works i havent googled tehniques in a long time
