I actually used the stuff ur refering to (flex seal) i made a flood tray w ut.This works! I seen a commercial where they make a boat out of cardboard... That's gotta be real:/
Flex seal! As seen on tv
Do you have a sheet metal shop nearby? They mass produce washing machine pans. Get a quote. You can get the depth you want also.Gonna check out some orca and pond liner. The trays would be nice as well.

What you would do is spray it with rubbing alcohol to remove all grease. Put it right under a grow light for a few hours and then when it's nice and warm spray it with brownells clear gun enamel epoxy.Hahaha, first it better be Stainless steel and then your cost just went out the door.
I guess you could use Aluminum but it will oxide after a while and have calcium buildup on it in no time.
I think the tray is the best long term product, or the pond liner.

Polyethylene or any pvc will warp and become brittle from uv exposure.
Nevermind yah a galvanized pan is going to oxidize...youre absolutely right. So these trays that are sold as flood to drain tables will crack and degrade?
Maybe after 5-8 years . But I think it would be time for a replacement by then.
And that’s not going to seal your metal tray from moisture for ever either.
So it’s going to die just as fast if not faster than my suggestion.
