As suggested by the title, my reservoir for my auto feeder really starts to smell after a day or 2,, I started by filling the 5 gallon buckets all the way up thinking I’d save myself some time,, but after 2 days the water stinks, I’m now just filling up every 2 days, I’m using biobizz nutrients is there anyway around this? I go away for 5 days in just over a week so would like to be able to leave them for that period of time

Im sorry but biobizz nutrients ferment very fast, been there. Thats because it has sweet beetroot juice and the suggars plus the organic elements ferment faster than other base nutrients. Theoretically its okay to use it even if its fermented, but I wouldnt. I have a fermented bottled of biobizz grow and I use it in plants I dont like xD. Smells like shit too. Had problems with one of them but I dont know if it was related to the fermentation, for the most part theyre okay with it.
Many nutes cant stay mixed for more than a few hours, thats why many nutes also come in part A and B, not only can they ferment if theyre organic but even if theyre not they can react with each other changing the chemical composition.

In the past I was using liquid organic nutes in a reservoir for a drip system, you have to be careful because it will start to stick inside drippers and lines and clog them up eventually, which is what happened to me. I even ran multiple air stones and aerator trying to keep water moving to keep it mixed but didn't have any luck. Organic is just not very water soluble.
Synthetic nutes that are very water soluble seem to be the easier way to go with reservoir/drip irrigation.

You need to use organic nutrients that specify that can be used in an irrigation system. And even then you might have problems. There's also liquids to clean your irrigation system when using organics, I cant remember any since I dont use them but Ive seen them. If youre willing to pay for it, Athena has the best of both worlds and its currently considered the best brand by many top growers. Its a mix of synthetic, bio mineral and organic and it wont clog your irrigation system or ferment fast. Its not cheap though.

I'm sure people have found a way to make organics work with automated feeding, but I haven't. I run a "dead res," meaning nothing biologically active goes in my reservoirs. I still get some deposits that have to be cleaned out from time to time, but nothing grows in the rezzes or lines.

Stinks how? Like fiish emulsion, seaweed, guano? Or sewage? If it's the latter, dump it.

I think biobizz grow and bloom dont have fish emulsion, they have their fish mix if you wanna use it instead of biobizz grow for veg. The smell when its not fermented is like licorice, sweet beetroot juice is similar to molasses, but when its fermented it stinks.

Maybe you could add an air bubbler? Oxygen, being a gas will slowly diffuse out over 24 hours then you have essentially flat stale water. Even a chemical bottled nutrient will start to smell in stagnant water. Or make smaller batches.

Add LAB or bottles enzymes maybe.

Real answer; biobizz shouldn’t be run in a dripper setup. You’d need to be so on top of it that i wouldn’t be worth the effort.

If you want to run organics with a drip system you can do dry amendments and water only.

I'm guessing we're all growing organically here, why not just use plain water in the reservoir? Just saw Papahcee response... What he said Xs two.
