hey bud I'm a habitual canopy thinner but i don't like to touch it till about week 5 of flower, I've found some strains don't like it before then. I tend to tuck em under until that pointI have been pruning/thinning out the canopy quite a bit on this run as an experiment just for shits n giggles to see if it makes a difference to yield. Iv done it in 3 stages so far which were quite heavy at day 7/14/21 and will continue to take a little here and there over the remaining flower to open up any covered sites :)
but week 5 i go hard at it.hey bud I'm a habitual canopy thinner but i don't like to touch it till about week 5 of flower, I've found some strains don't like it before then. I tend to tuck em under until that point

Yeah mate I've found some strains seem to put a lot of energy into regrowing those removed leaves if u do it too early. Don't get me wrong i will remove leaves early if they are covering a lot of sites but i try and hold back. But week 5 I've been known to really strip em down!
Nice work bro and very nice crystal coverage for plants so young :)
Nice one mate hope I do a good job on em for ya see what they can do :)There's a few phenols, a giant one,a columnar one,off the top of my head, all are stinky and strong,my avatar pics poli,I'll see if I can find a pic or 2, 76
Can u please post vid when u find it :)I'll try and find the video.
There's a guy who strips every leaf from his plant at day 14 and it's fully regenned leaves by 17.
Krunchbubble over on ic turned me towards it.
Texaskid defoliates from day 1 and slows down at 3 weeks but doesn't stop.
Capulator does a little everyday so not to stress the plant.
Tons of different ways is all I'm getting at.
Yea,that's what I like to hear!keep ur eyes open for anything special,I'll be popping more f2,s soon for the f3 gen, when do u flip them?I try to wait 8 weeks at least from seed, poli can be flipped sooner though if needed, she can stretch a bit (2/3 xs at least)but she easy to keep under control, she's easy overall to grow, medium feeder, fast veg, takes a a few weeks then takes off in flower,76@william76 mate just got home and as I went to check on the teens I was over whelmed by a pretty dam stank!! Lol think I better move em into a tent with a carbon filter in it!!! :sweating:;):shockedninja:
Find myself still going over different tecs. Stripping them fully naked is next on my list but scares the shit out of me.@LEDSMOKE yeah bro it's definitely a tech that's getting used and seems to be working well specially when that light hits the lower bugs further down the plant and denses em up :)

Interesting, i think the main point is the plant really doesn't need those big fan leaves in an indoor environment with constant access to food, well thats as far as i can tell anyway. Would like to see all these different defoliation methods, I'm a big believer in it, especially as i like growing trees.I'll try and find the video.
