We were all rookies once, brother! All we can do in our short time on this earth is give our very best and hope to make a positive impression while we're here. Props for putting up a log. Not a lot of rookies have the balls for that.

And as far as questions go, there really is no stupid question. Ask me anything about genetics or gardening and I will always do my best to answer you.

Good vibes,
A

As mentioned before.. it does look like you may be over watering. Some plants will establish a root system quicker then others and while they are the same plant genetically they will not always have the same traits. Lifting the pots/cups right after watering and comparing the same weight a few days later lets you know how often your girls will need water. I have had a few plants in past runs that just run things on their own schedule taking a extra day or two before needing water like everything else. This may be the case for you.. have you let em dry out yet? what have you been feeding? how often? Too much water will kill your roots.. makes em all brown and slimy looking. Also very important and not to be over looked.. your PH? What is your PH looking like?

my 2 cent

Has anybody seen a plant recover from this state?
In my short experience, this plant is dead, but it may take weeks to fully give up.
I would be interested to know if ANY transpiration is taking place.
You could weigh the cup and see if the plant is using any water.
You can also look at the roots. Tip it out of the cup as if transplanting just to see how wet and sad the root zone is.
The others look good, but as farmers have pointed out, root bound is not that great a thing.
Good luck.

I agree that it's too much water bro. It's better to see the effects from slightly under watering than over watering...way easier to recover from a little lack of water. If I ever get plants that just seem to not want to drink fast enough I till up the top layer of soil (very gently) and it seems to help it dry out a bit. Hopefully the transplant helps. Cut out any nutes for a while and just let that soil feed 'em.

Best of luck to you.

Hey mmg-az,

Alien Grenades have to be one of the sturdiest plants around. I broke my cherry with this exact strain, also. Don't get me wrong, I stressed these babies to the max at times, which is why I probably only got one female out of four beans cracked. Keep your chin up, though, the Grenades will bestow their greatness upon you.

The final product is deliriously good. Everyone who sampled it loves the soaring, "git 'er done" type mentality that accompanies this smoke.

I could literally drive other "Kind" bud growers out of town if I so wished with this plant and some cloning experience/testicular fortitude that I don't endow, on either front.

If you killed some beans, don't despair. With the help of Alien and t/his amazingly cool bunch of members on this forum you will "KILL" it, I promise.

Persevere, my friend.

To add to the guys that know not only infinitely more about every facet of growing and these particular genetics than myself but also the diagnostics that accompany growing...I'd like to say that I only add water with a spray bottle in the seedling stage to avoid lock out.

Good luck, my friend.
