I think that once rooted they're going to start pushing out a new apical meristem. That's my guess. If I'm right, I get the cookie. :DWell, you really need to let us know how this turns out. I'm not sure where anyone thinks this new growth is gonna come from, I'd love to see it work though. I just can't imagine how it could.

What about right where the roots are forming at "soil" level???...They will root ok but they wont grow there are no meristem cells in a leaf
Takes meristem cells to make roots too. If there was no nodal piece taken, then theoretically it can do nothing. Root or growth.They will root ok but they wont grow there are no meristem cells in a leaf
