I have a "BC Northern Lights (Producer)" hydro box. All self contained.
My issue is. I've got a new crop clones, they are all healthy looking, but non have roots
reaching into the water.??
They are all bushy 8 to 10 inches high.
tiny root hairs appear to turn brown and shrivel up ?
Box temp is 75
PH is 5.9
Water temp is 62*F.
Air pump is working, but not sure I have enough bubbles?
Water level is kept high.
Sounds like your solution is off somehow . iv had this kind of problem in a cloner . The roots just wouldn't grow into the water . I assumed it was temps as the spray that hit the roots wasn't adversely affecting them . It was like they dissolved if they touched the surface of the water . still not 100% sure what it was.
I have a nc northern lights that I play with still. The box temp, water temp, and ph are right where they should be. What are your ppm? Do you have the directions that came with it? How often are you changing the water?
Oops tall dog. I just looked and saw your water temp is a little too low. Put your temp at 67. That's where I have mine. It will hold O2 better and not cause root issues. Under 65 will slow everything down. My plants are 6" tall and my roots are a little over a foot long under the three inch rock wool cube.
Found my problem... problems...
Neptune is right... temp too low & solution too strong at such an early stage.
Lost 10 out of 12... very sad. Believe the two that survived will be top notch.
Moved a couple of mothers in with them to maintain a decent harvest... I hope.
