Iso is not that poisonous. Its only marginally more dangerous than ethanol, and in some ways, less so. Anyone who calls it a "poison plain and simple" is proving they lack the ability to do their own research. Yes, don't get me wrong, there is a potential for poisoning with this compound, as with virtually all chemicals and substances on earth (including water...), but as the saying goes, the dose makes the poison. When it comes to isopropyl alcohol, the lethal dose is only slightly less than ethanol (drinking alcohol). I'm sick and tired of seeing these stupidly wrong claims repeated over and over. You CAN die from iso, in the same way you can die from ethanol- by drinking a large amount, like at least 8 ounces. The official MSDS sheet shows that small amounts of inhalation and ingestion are not expected to be harmful, and the body quickly metabolizes it into acetone, which is also harmless in small amounts- actually, its safer than ethanol's metabolite, acetaldehyde, which is strongly toxic to DNA and causes cancer via multiple mechanisms (as well as the hangover that countless people survive each and every day- so even that toxin is something humans are equipped to survive repeated exposure to.) Acetone is much, much less dangerous than this compound.

But get fucking real. Even horribly purged dabs are gonna have a couple percent max. It would be LITERALLY IMPOSSIBLE to reach a lethal dose via inhalation. Your body would clear it before you could ever get to a fatal amount. Even if the dabs were 100% iso, you would still need to do dozens if not hundreds to reach a toxic amount.

I'm so tired of seeing people repeat this baseless claim due to their own laziness and inability to think for themselves. There is no practical difference in toxicity between ethanol and isopropanol when discussing such minute quantities, even in a worst case scenario.

I did not know that until I read your post did some research and found this on a Healthline webpage:

Your body can handle small amounts of ISO. In fact, your kidneys remove approximately 20 to 50 percent of ISO from your body. The rest is broken down into acetone by enzymes known as alcohol dehydrogenases. This acetone is filtered out of your body through your lungs or kidneys.

Healthline article

Also on the same article it explains poisoning will happen around 200 millilitres of isopropyl being congested or inhaled
