So I haven't seen much about this in forums, or anywhere for that matter:
Does anyone else harvest from their live plants, switch the lighting back to 18/6 for about 3 weeks, switch the lighting back to 12/12, and repeat for a continuous harvest?

Depending on the complexity and age of the plants and the lighting, a shorter, or longer, re-veg period might be needed, but it's a way to save your favorite plants and almost continuously flower them!

The two pictures I've attached are four plants from which I've harvested and are back in the vegetative state. They were taken only a few days apart and the plants take around 3 weeks to fully recover to begin growing before flowering again. The photo with the droopy leaves was the day after their harvest:

while the other was afew days later:

I believe this period can be reasonably shortened after a few harvests from older, more complex plants; however, I haven't yet gotten to that point.

No arguments please, it's a straight-forward question and I'm genuinely curious about what everyone does!

Thanks for the replies and happy growing!

Wait so you just reharvest the same plants over and over? I didn’t know you could do that. Cool idea 👍🏼

Yea, I didn't know if it was possible at the time so I was like fuck it, I'll try and see what happens! You just have to clip off all of the flowers leaving as many fan leaves as possible, switch the lighting back to grow, and revert the fertilizer back to the grow quantities. Typically, after about a week, you'll see a lot of fresh leaves and after that the plants explode with growth. It's a very good time to trim it to your preference and to make more colas.

I'm aware of the terrible node spacing in the plants in the pictures, they started too far away from my lights and became horribly uneven. The plants in the pictures were from my first grow and their condition is irrelevant, but they do provide a good visual as far as what to leave when harvesting.

I haven't been able to get very far with this method as I was turned in a few days after harvesting, the day after I jarred my dried harvest.

Some plants (I also grow hot peppers) can survive without any leaves on them, however marijuana plants cannot.

I don’t believe you will ever be able to let a plant fully ripen.

I followed the color of the trichomes until they were milky white, the flower was incredible. It was just under 8 weeks until harvest.

Hey Schmidt......is that an ode to Slipknot?

Either way, yeah, you definitely can veg, flower, reveg, veg, flower.......but.....

I do know revegs can be totally different, huge, beautiful.....

I'm sure the yields could increase.....

I'm not knocking, because I know it works, I just hate the reveg process.....

It's just been a nickname I've had since junior high from someone who knew I listened to them.
What do you hate about the re-veg process? It takes about the same amount of time as drying the plants and you can clip some very fast growing clones from them if needed during that time.
