Having some issues with my ladies. Potential root rot ?? Doesn't matter what I do they are always drooping. I water every 4-5 days with Atleast 10% runoff.. I make sure the pots are dry with the lift method . I was told I was "over watering " but according to my moisture meters that isn't the case. They use about a half gallon per pot. They are in 2 gallon pots with happy frog soil. These girls are roughly 5-6wks old in veg, No nutes yet as I'm keen on waiting until the first set of true leaves show SOME SORT of yellowing. Temps are around 72-74 degrees (adjusted ) was running (69-70 degrees before) depending on time of day. RH is at 60%+ give or take for proper vpd. My ppfd is around 360 with the light at about 2.5ft above the canopy. My DLI is on the lower end at 20.. I am using a spiderfarmer sf4000 for my lighting. Any insight is greatly appreciated!

It's definitely a watering issue you have going on.. how much water are you using... rule of thumb use 20% water volume of your pot size... that will help keep you on track with not over saturating soil... with that being said you should be able to water every 3 days...

Leaves do not look swollen so I think it's an underwater ingredient rather than over watering

agree with JKash and i would bump air temperature to a healthy ~80-82f, it will help accelerate metabolism and get faster healthier growth rates.

I PERSONALLY don't worry too much about temps... as long as it doesn't hit mid 50s...

But this is just a personal opinion... I worry about high temps over colder temps

My bet is overwatering, based on all the texture and thickness in your leaves, plant shape, your description of your watering, and the relationship between the size of your plants and the size of the pots. In my garden, plants that size would still be in solos. I never want to be in a pot wider than the plant, except during germination. One of the reasons I don't run autos indoors. Over-watering is about watering too often, as opposed to giving too much water at one time. Fully saturating a pot doesn't hurt the plants. Keeping a pot saturated by watering too often deprives the roots of air. In two gallons with plants that small, watering slowly to 10% runoff each time, I suspect I'd be watering approximately every 10 days. It would take between a quarter and a third of the pot volume, going slowly.

I don't trust spot moisture meters. In your situation, I'd wait to water again until I saw straight-down droop in your lower growth. Then I'd water slowly to 10% runoff, taking care to saturate the pots. I'd then wait one day less to water again. Lots of ways to grow (and water). That's just what I'd try. Hope that helps.

yep the thing is with higher temp (up to a optimum point), we get much faster photosynthesis rate.
it really does help a lot.

I use a one gal watering can. The plants normally take just shy of .5 gal a piece every 4-5 days. Thanks for the tips guys, I am going to wait to water until the plants show " straight down droop" as artful codger stated. Temps weren't really a concern. I upped it a few degrees just trying to get a reaction from them. I germinated these girls in 68 degrees an they poked threw the soil within 2days.

@GowerX616 the biggest issue I see is you have the plants sitting on the floor.
Your girls got cold feet. Put them on something to raise them off the floor so warm air can circulate under the root zone.

I usually use pop bottle tops under my pots to get them a few cm of the floor. I did recently have them on boxes for a week with no change so I took them out. Not sure what's the real issue, going to let the pot get bone dry before watering again an " starting a new schedule" if you will

I leave mine on the floor, depends on your tempsfeel the floor, if it's cold raise them. If not carry on

Been 9days since last watered. I was expecting some kind of "perk up" from the dry back. Ladies still aren't happy. Soil is extremely dry. I've also noticed yellowing of the bottom leaves. Should I give them their first nute feed an see where this goes ?

2 gallon pots taking 1 gallon of water 10% runoff is the problem.

When you think about the proper way of watering in the cannabis community, the answer out there everywhere is fully saturate and let dry out completely. This was very confusing for me, its good info, but not explained the best. You really don't want runoff if you have runoff you are most likely giving too much volume of water (dependent on medium). In a 7 gallon pot I am giving mine 1/2 gallon - 3/4 gallon each watering, with a 3 day dry cycle. The time on the dry cycle is what you need to pay attention to. 1 gallon in a 2 gallon pot 5 day dry time, what's happening here is your are suffocating the roots. It's staying wet to long. Give less water and find that sweet spot that is a 3 day dry cycle. I would guess in a 2 gallon pot you wanna be giving like maybe a quart (1/4 gallon) but you will have to fine tune that number a little to that 3 day dry cycle. Might even be less. Hard to say as it not a pot size I work with.

Appreciate the feedback. These girls were only getting .5 gallon per pot not 1 gallon each. I'm in soil an was always told to water with some run off especially with salt based nutes. At the moment I have not fed them anything. I'm just giving an update on what has and has not changed for the last few days to a week.

Just looking for second opinions on going ahead with a water/feed at this point.

9 days since last watering. Yeah this is the issue. Or at least the main issue. They can't breath. Big big reduction in volume of water will help a lot.
