Yep. Even my aging XS-series lights still produce excellent results.viparspectra has good lights too
Get the best light for the tent or whatever grow space you're using. Square ones, like bar lights, are good for square tents. Rectangular ones are good for rectangular tents.Secondly what is everyone’s preference between quantum boards & bar style lights? And why? (disregarding brand of diodes)
Yeah i like the idea of the 69 Controller Pro to automate stuff & you CAN use it with ANY other supplier’s equipment with the cables available for extra $ but again its too costly to buy hereI grow with board style in my 8x4 and a bar style in my 55x28x80. It's my first grow with the bar style and it runs much cooler then the board style and the driver is removable. Also the bar style are usually sized so they completely fill the tent for a more even par map, the board styles are quite a bit smaller in comparison and the ppfd drops more toward the edges then the bar style does. I will be upgrading the board style in my 8x4 to the bar style one day.
Any of those diode types will do you good, Samsung is the bigger name but bridgelux makes good stuff as well!
My bar style is the Spider Farmer SE4500 I'm not sure what size tent you have but Spider Farmer SE comes in many different sizes so they will have one for the size space you need! SE series have an awesome par map IMO (self tested) and I highly recommend!!!
I've not used the AC Infinity lights but all my ventilation is made by them and I also use there Controller 69 Pro to automate my tents.
Even though I haven't used their lights, ACI puts out quailty stuff and customer service is the best in the industry.

Yeah I haven’t had too much of a look at them yet…..i was looking at only a 3x3 tent but with everything that comes with a 4x4 kit that you create your own on Spider Farmer & i was looking at getting the G5000 450W but then only now i realised they run Bridgelux diodes & i know all will work well enough although the efficacy of 301H Evo outdoes every other style diodes in many aspects imo & i would rather go with an SE5000 with the said diodesviparspectra has good lights too
yeah thanks but that sorta goes without sayingGet the best light for the tent or whatever grow space you're using. Square ones, like bar lights, are good for square tents. Rectangular ones are good for rectangular tents.
I also recommend matching the lights with the controller so they can work together.
What was the first question?
Just preference & what others have found they have better results with one or the other, thats allGet the best light for the tent or whatever grow space you're using. Square ones, like bar lights, are good for square tents. Rectangular ones are good for rectangular tents.

Ok whatever buddy….but the diodes are different (doh) & all im asking is for others opinions or preferences & if possible why those preferences…..please dont make fun of me asking a question that i am more than positive that a lot more than just myself would be interested in knowingWell really all your doing is looking at the same light from all , there all made using the same parts lol
I understand a lot of it is sales techniques to do their best to distinguish the ‘better’ lights from the ’not so better’ ones & therefore distinguish their prices accordingly …efficacy of each of the said diodes there is really not much to compare besides prices.Ok whatever buddy….but the diodes are different (doh) & all im asking is for others opinions or preferences & if possible why those preferences…..please dont make fun of me asking a question that i am more than positive that a lot more than just myself would be interested in knowing
If this amuses you, good luck to you please don’t assume im a first time dummy
Quite perfectly said,i agree a lot…if you look amongst the most used and rather cheap led brand. they all are rather equivalent.
each brand will have their tweak regarding the spectrum, led layout and whatever ... each brand will claim their tweak are the best ... but truth is when it come to comparing the end product in term of quality and yield you won't notice a signifiant difference amongst the fixture equivalent in power from different brands.
you will observe much more dispersion regarding yield depending strains and phenotypes within a strain than using this or that fixture from this or that led manufacturer when it come to equivalent models in term of power
Like I said before, I really like my Spider Farmer SE4500, I'm sure you would be happy with the SE5000!Yeah I haven’t had too much of a look at them yet…..i was looking at only a 3x3 tent but with everything that comes with a 4x4 kit that you create your own on Spider Farmer & i was looking at getting the G5000 450W but then only now i realised they run Bridgelux diodes & i know all will work well enough although the efficacy of 301H Evo outdoes every other style diodes in many aspects imo & i would rather go with an SE5000 with the said diodes

That's a really good point to bring up.
Ok sounds great that’s what I’m looking for tbh….i WAS looking at the G5000 but turned off by Bridgelux diodes & i was only just looking at both the quantum board SF4000 with 301H Evo + SE bar style with 301B diodes & cost isn’t really my main concern, only the efficiency & when it comes to adding supplemental lights its not possible with the board style so i guess its the SE5000 for meLike I said before, I really like my Spider Farmer SE4500, I'm sure you would be happy with the SE5000!
You can actually find some recent grow diaries from active members on here using both the G series and the SE series.
