Well this is my first year outside on this property by myself and things are off to a great start! I am doing the following strains: Chemdog #4, Fire OG, Blueberry Diesel, FLO (CO cut), Afgooey, GSC, Jack, Pure Kush, Sour Diesel, J-1, Cheese.

I am doing a perpetual outside grow, meaning I am working my ass off to make sure that I get meds in the off season and when the sun is at its most intense. I came up with this simple method a year ago and honestly every strain I depped in the heart of summer came out way better than ever before, be it outdoor or indoor. This year I will be getting every strain tested and thanks to some homies at a big lab in the bay I will have plenty of information on the same strains testing numbers done by other growers. My theory that comes as a result of last year is that everything depped will be higher in almost every other category.....we will see how that holds up though.

I am not growing entirely organic this year as I am using some bud boosters like kool-bloom that I have fallen in love with over the last few seasons. I am also growing in mainly coco, so I use a lot of ammendments and ferts. For amendments I am using the following: bat guano, mykos, azos, age old dry fert, roots organic "foundation uprising". For ferts I am using Age Old Grow, Liquid Karma, Cal-mag, Pure Blend coco formula, Advanced Mother Earth Tea, and Kool Bloom. Everything is being grown in holes that fill over 200 gallons of coco and perlite and that includes my light dep too. I am horrible at keeping threads updated by I am going to make the best of it this time. I obviously follow the adage: Keep It Simple Stupid. No bells and whistles here, just a lover of fine ganja getting my grove on for as little as possible I suppose! Well here it goes: The first photo is of an og kush bed put into the ground around 10 days ago. The next one is a brand new og plant put in 5 days ago. 3-4 are pictures of a c-4 rounding third base, they look so amazing in the sun! Wish I could take better pics but nevertheless here they are.

Yeah the light dep does require some serious commitment but it really does pay off in the end! If you can I strongly suggest doing it, much easier and cheaper than you might imagine.

Alright it is looking like October in some of these rows. I have my c4 finishing quite nicely, some buds are bigger than a 40oz. I am very stoked on the way things are looking......This is the same bed as the first picture will be of the og kush bed, call it fire og, sanvan og, big bad og, whatever you like it is the REAL og! She is getting flipped tonight!!! Outdoor og in august.

And now......a little October in June!!!! OH the sweet smell of buds that are finishing under the most intense sunlight, nothing can even compare....not full season, not indoor....at least not in my experience.

Thanks brother, that means a lot coming from you. Honestly it is not as hard as you might imagine, dep takes about 30 minutes a day, well worth the work of not having to wait all the way til october for unfavorable weather and cops and robbers!!!

The worst part of light dep is snakes. They suck!!

I bet it is worth it to not have to worry about harvest making it all the way to the end of the season...rippers bad? Get a dog to take on your walk with you if you don't have one...warn you of snakes anyway.

Yeah I got a German Shepherd that helps with the rascals, but man they suck! Killed a baby rattler the other day, I am sure more are to come.

As for rippers? I am not too worried about them but they do come in mass during the fall.....I've had many friends get there shit topped especially when the first fall rain comes

Thanks a lot Ken!!!!I was wondering if you were doing the damn thing this year! Shit it seems like you have a good thing going with your spot, I am sure that you are also enjoying the availability to leave over night if you want. I hope to see you this weekend, you are one person I have wanted to meet for a long time and I know you are rocking some fire strains!

Automate your light deprivation with a motorized shade over your greenhouse on a timer.

Brother, this is the twenty FIRST century, there's no need to work hard at this! Automation is your friend! I'm not well set up for it this summer, but next year... yeah, light depo in a couple of 100' greenhouses? LOL
