Alaskans...SB 30 is up for public testimony next week. Lets fill up the public participation process.

One item, among a few, that I'm concerned with is the 6 plant rule. With as many micro climates as we have in the largest State in the Union, farming will different everywhere. Good for some, not so for others.

In Fairbanks outdoors, plants will be the size of trees, put Christmas lights on'em. The yield will be outstanding per plant.

In Ketchikan, where rain is measured in feet, all indoors, short squatty bushes, low yields. Hell, it will take a 6 plant or more yield in Ketchikan, to equal one outdoor Fairbanks plant.

We need more than 6 plants as responsible adults. Time to Rally!!

What exactly does the 6 plant count mean for you guys? Can you have unrooted plants? Or do clones with no roots yet still count against your 6?

3 in flower and 3 in veg is still pretty fucking shitty #'s How could one even grow enough personal to last what 2 1/2 months till the next harvest? Assuming nothing goes wrong...

6 plants per adult is what is being proposed as of now. Plants are not defined as yet, seedlings or plants/clones.

If you have hiccups while farming, yeah could lose part or all of the crop, screwed.

We passed the half way mark in the legislative session yesterday, so things will get moving here.

CSSB30 will be up again today in Senate Finance. 1:30 pm in the Senate Fiance Committee room. I went yesterday and it 42-0 from the testifiers on scrapping the proposed amendment. People don't want to be charged with a felony for more than 16 ozs. Gather people up and head on down to your local LIO and sign up to testify. Regulate cannabis like alcohol.

Senate Finance took another whack at it today. Vetoed delivery service, not in the initiative. They seem to hang their hat on the initiative, so maybe that helps in the end. Only as restrictive as beer and wine. It would appear there are many that are pulling the wagon of the NO crowd, with the hope of rolling this all up and back in two years time. We all will need to be vigilant and keep the pressure on, no more restrictive than alcohol.

Senator Kelley's amendment-

When it becomes effective Section 14, specifically p. 12 line 23 (Amendment 25) will vitiate all of the rest of the bill. Since THC will be in Schedule 3 all marijuana will be schedule 3, not just concentrates. No carve outs for commercial licenses because the carve outs only apply to schedule 5 and 6 substances. Hemp, cannabis, marijuana will be a Schedule 3 drug since all hemp has some low level of THC.

Tell him to stop criminalizing Alaskans!!!
