This is to be planted out on Nov 1st, so I want her to be a chunky as possible early on ensure a fat feeder stalk for the 4+ months it will spend outside. I'm hoping to get her to 2000 g of dry flower after harvest. Join me to see if I do. She is a favourite breed of mine, having bred her three years ago, I'm super proud of her. Wow, this strain hands down is bigger and better and smellier in every way compared to the other strains I'm currently growing. The look of her is showing a lot of OG (with Hulk berry being one of her parents), but with clear Strawberry Cough and mild Apple Betty lineage clearly coming through. Is it just me, or does this plant look like it's going to be a real producer? I'm putting her outside on Nov 1 for the entire outdoor grow season means she could be a true monster! Stay tuned for updates on this amazing new strain! I'm super excited about this one! If anyone is interested, I reversed a Dutch Passion Strawberry Cough, then used that pollen to pollinate my Favourite Apple Betty Pheno. I grew her for a few years like this as AppleBerry Cough. Then the year before last, I reversed a quality HulkBerry (Og Kush x Strawberry Diesel) clone and used that pollen to pollinate AppleBerry Cough to add that OG Kush high pine note and earthy grounding note to the AppleBerry Cough, not to mention doubling down on the strawberry notes.So yeah, Strawberry Diesel AND Strawberry Cough, Apple Betty and Og Kush...I mean, why wouldn't I create this strain? It's Gasey, fruity, earthy, piney, and has strong apple, berry bakery flavours. I grew her outside as a clone last year (from a different seed - same pheno though by the looks, which is cool). That came down to a beautiful pound and a half. The inhale on that sungrown was wet paint and tangy green apple and had extremely strong Strawberry cough notes on the exhale, followed by strong OG/apple finishing/lasting notes. It's a wondrous thing to behold, and I am honoured to share her publicly for the first time with you all.

Gosh, what a growth spurt this last week. Time to take those massive, beautiful fan leaves off and let the light and air in. Eight weeks till she gets transplanted outside for the full outdoor growing season. Oosh, is she on track or what?! Feels sacrilegious taking such beautiful leaves off...but she really did need this for her overall wellbeing! Just check out the transpiration rates of those leaves (moisture pic)

Terpy Tip: Lots of light up close to start with (I don't do this with autoflowers). For me, that means 50 cm away at the full spectrum of a 450-watt Quantum PAR LED light board. Note: this is not for germination or the first week after germination. For germination, I keep the light at 50cm away, but dimmed to 50%.
I will increase this to 75% strength after a week and then 100% when I "feel" they can handle it, maybe a few days afterwards. I grow at full power 50cm distance from plants, keeping a light oscillating breeze over them, and soil moist at all times (no drying whatsoever) from this stage until node six when I top them.The pots are 6 litres and I will be transplanting them into 12-litre pots at the end of September, which will keep them happy till they go outside. The potting soil I use is volcanic, organic, living, composted, full of worms and extremely rich but toned right down to 6.5 with large helpings of Dolomite at premix (will amend with topdressing if required, but not often). At the same time as topping, I will pull the light up to 1m away, forcing them to stretch somewhat. You see this translated in the growth between nodes shown in the pics, stretching that bit further each time, allowing room for explosive lateral growth. Most cannabis responds almost the same way, producing similar results every time, like the differences aren't worth mentioning.

Sweet - I have three Afghan Kush seeds that just popped and have been in the dirt for 24 hours. They are now in a bubble, but per your Terpy's Tip #1 or TT1 as legend will have it, once they come out of the soil and their shells, I'll put 'em in the tent on 50% at 19 5/8" (50 cm) for a bit then up it after a week or so - then we'll go warp speed captain.

Week 8 Veg: The defoliation I did last week has enabled her to really start bushing out. Super happy with SchnappleBerry she is handling the rigours of my boot camp for big girlies rather well!

Looking THICC! those things are going to have buds all freaking over’em! you down under? im trying to do the math on 8 weeks going outdoor! im in US cali, outdoors is coming down in another month or so for us! : )

Howzit Bearwater?! Yep, New Zealand, the real down under! We are the exact reverse to you guys, give or take a week. When you harvest, we plant and yes mate, that's the idea..hehe buds all over em! I'm hoping for 2000-2500gm dried goodness. Let's see how we go.

Transplanted easily and wow did she need it. Hoping this pot lasts her till transplanting to the outdoors on Nov 1. Stay tuned for updates on the next few weeks growth.

Week 10 Veg:
Doing so beautifully this cross between a Hulkberry I reversed and crossed with Apple berry Cough (reversed Apple Betty crossed over Dutch passions Strawberry Cough) is, if I do say so myself a strain of incredible heritage. With OG Kush showing up three times along the way this is practically an Apple/Strawberry Kush! I may rename her to reflect that. Her structure is so good really looking forward to giving her the last topping and defoliation before going outside to her forever home in 5-6weeks time. Stay tuned for weekly updates.

Week 11 Veg:
Loving seeing the Strawberry Cough looking leaves ATM. So I topped her at the sixth node on all branches. Then removed the bottom three leaf nodes and lateral growth with a scalpel to clear up those pipes. Leaving three leaf nodes on top of each stalk. Training these stalks to carry big loads of buds. 5-6weeks till she goes outside so this topping and lollipopping will contain her and shrub her out in time for her final transplant outdoors.

Week 12 Veg:
Getting nice and big and taking on the shape of the tent corner itself. Have turned lights backs a hr, and will do every week until transplant to align with the daylight hours outside. No problems so far and am very happy with how she looks.
