hey yall,im tring to do the scrog thang & i got questions. like how big should the holes be,im using mesh wire with 2inch holes. should i be going bigger?
:help:or,does it matter? im getting awsome growth up top but i dont want to crowd things

Oh yes, you want to go bigger or you'll have a hell of a time working with the screen. Go for 4"-6". But if you're already using it, aren't your girls grown into it by now?

no,i pulled the mesh before things got really to far,,but ,hell ya ty seamaiden.guess i got some string to tie up ,lol. im not good at posting pics but ill give it a go in a few.

I went with a landscape fencing material, plastic, because it's what we had on-hand. Gimme a minute here, I put up pix in another thread...

Here we go:

sorry for taking so long but here ya go,& holy cow seamadien,i can only hope my grow turns out to look like yours, that was the bomb:mad0233:

That looks really tight, audius, nice work. :) I'd shave their legs, that stuff under the screen will only produce popcorn and that'll take away the energy the plants could have spent on making good bud topside. Clear out all that crap that's shaded on the inside, too.

Seamaiden is spot on, get the gilette razor out bro. :)

ok heres these sexy ladys all shaved & waxed, ready for the show..top buds are just going utts,,im really excited about this ;)

Oh, I think you're gonna have you some fun, now! Just about got that screen as filled as it can take, by the looks of it. Love how everything is all reflective, too.

ya bro im off to the races,,that box your looking at is 4x51/2 inch,,&yes i tried to cover everything..those plants are about 3 ft tall,i get some good light down below to.those 3 plants are only looking like there gonna cover about 90% of my net. amazing how well there doing ,those pics are only 3 days apart.

yo man EVERYTHING thats UNDER the screen needs to get waxed. looks nice though!

hey farmers...looking into doing a scrog in my next run. how many plants should i fit into a 2.5'X2.5' space..i was thinking between 2-4. running in a growlab80 400 watt hps/mh in a cool tube. also when the plant first grows through the screen is the top brought back down and woven through the screen to grow into the screen. or is the top just pulled back under the screen rather than woven into it....not sure if that makes sense???

That sounds about right. I did six under a 600W on a mover using a 3'x6' footprint.

Totally makes sense. I wanted support for when the buds got fat and heavy (you've GOT to plan for the fatness!) so I wove, over and under, instead of just pushing it back down underneath. When you get into it, you'll see how it goes and probably how you'll want to work it.

The one thing I didn't like about the ScrOG was harvest. I like to chop the whole plant and hang her by her toes. Just can't do that in a ScrOG.

What are you working with? indica or sativa? branchy without training or something that needs alot of topping or fimming? If youve got something mostly sativa, 2 plants prob max.

hey sneakatok,2 plants max for that space.my box is around 4x4x6 foot& im only doing 3.anyway,heres an update for yall.

Looking good bro. Always love to see fellow Scrogers grows in action. For your question in the begening, I use 2"x3" mesh with great results. Swing by my grow log if you're interested and keep up the good work.
