Welcome to my first thread here at THC Farmer. I've been growing photos for several years and have been curious about Auto's for some time.

I've never had to I purchased beans online before because of generous friends and my own crosses. Now that I got up the nerve to make my first purchase, I went with Fastbuds and Dutch Passion. The experience was great and went smoothly.

My first grow was Fastbuds Girl Scout Cookies and Dutch Passion's Blackberry Kush. The grow has gone well and we are getting close to the chop. They are at day 61 and swelling nicely. Likeing the way they are turning ng out I ordered more beans and went with Fastbuds Zkittles and Dutch Passion's White Widow.

The First up are the GSC BK!

Next up are the young ladies at day 10.

Thanks for stopping by. Any and all comments welcome as long as we keep it chil!

Just a few notes on my setup. I always have used Jack's Classic Tomato Feed and there Blossom Booster. These two nutrients have never let me down so why change a good day going. I keep Dynagro ProteK And Cal/Mag when needed.

I plant in 15L pots with extra holes drilled for air. I plant in Black Gold or Ultimate potting soil amended with perlite, worm castings, blood/bone meal, garden lime, diatomaceous earth, and garden tone. This is the mix I have also used for years and and it generally will take the ladies into flower without having to feed them. I found that the Auto's did need to be fed earlier than I normally have to for photos but I attribute that to the fact there awake 20 hours a day.

Im using an eBay tent with a 6" exhaust fan and carbon filter. I'm using a 600w sealed xl fixture with a Hortilux Super HPS bulb.

I use my tap water and Apple Cider vinegar to adjust my pH to approximately 6.0 to 6.5 watering to a good run off as needed.

For my seedlings I have a wood cab I put together years ago and use a cheap blurple led I got off ebay awhile back. It works great for starting new beans. Thanks again for stopping by.✌

Day 62!

The ladies were fed 1/2 a tsp Blossom Booster and 1/2 a tsp Cal/Mag per gallon of or the last time. I figure at least 10 more days to finish so I'll just lest em eat themselves till harvest Wich means just water from here on out.

First up are the 3 GSC from Fastbud. As you can see, 3 plants, 3 different variations! Keep in mind that all these ladies were planted at the same time and broke the surface within 72 hrs of each other.

Next are the Dutch Passion's BK! Once again two different traits againOne is leggy as hell and the other is a squatty bush!

Like I said, this is my first go with Auto's and it seems from what I have seen and read this is common. It really doesn't shock me because I have seen it happen with photos also when a breeder rushes something to market. The forums are full of stories. For me I could care less as long as the end results are worth it.

Lastly I moved the White Widow and the Zkittles into the tent. They are 11 days from ld I believe today. Chugging along nicely so far. This time I planted straight into the soil versus the last ones were started in 50mm jiffy pods. I think that's what may have happened to the little GSC in the back left. Not a whole lot going on with her.

Thanks again if you happen to stop by and check things out.

Wow! Mephisto genetics! That's awesome. Maybe someday I can score some of their beans. The girl's look great. They are the same age give or take a few days.

Alright, alright, alright! We are getting to the end of my first auto run. As I said before that I was hesitant about making my first seed purchase be Auto's. As I right this I can say that so far I have no regrets about it. Maybe a little disappointed that there wasn't more uniformity to them. My final opinion will have to wait till my first sesh!

So we are at day 18 for the WW and the Zkittles. You can already see that the WW will probably be a leggy lady and the Zkittles has tighter node spacing which in my opinion will probably bring about a shorter and bushier lady.

Just a little bud porn of the BK at day 69. She is looking like maybe another 7 days or so on her and her sisters are all about the same. The Fastbud and Dutch Passion both have a 70 day finish time but they definitely need a couple more days for sure. You have to remember there numbers are an estimate and are acheived by them under perfect conditions. I learned along time ago that everyone's situation is different. Anyways here they are!

As always, thanks for stopping by and taking a look. Let me know what ya . I'm happy to answer any questions if I can.

Agreed, i didn't expect them to eat as much as the do but if you think about it, they are under the light's for 20 hours a day. I mixed their grow medium a little hotter this go around and maybe feed a little earlier to keep em from yellowing again.

Be careful with the hotter mix seedling stage they are vulnerable. And looks like what ya got is working?! Lol
I started out with my own soil mix but soon found it easier and more effective to buy promix and nutes. Part of the problem is at least on my opinion is the variability from plant to plant ? They are all so different , very rarely do I get 2 of the same phenos from the same pack. Just my 2cents

Unfortunately I don't have access to any promix in my area. I've been using this same recipe for awhile now and I'm able to source everything local. I know there isn't a one size fits all fert but in my opinion Jack's is as close as I can get in my. I use the Tomato FeED and there Blossom Booster. It's reasonable priced and pretty much fool proof. It also has all the micros as well. I'm sure there is better but for now I'll stick with what works for me. I also have some Dynagro cal/mag and magpro if needed. I like to source everything local so I don't draw attention to myself if you know what I mean.

I know what you mean about the different phenos but you know I don't mind really. I grow for my wife and myself only so consistency is not that important.

I'm glad we're closing out 2020 and hope 2021 will be a much better one. Work has been slamming the last few weeks and haven't been able to get a post up.

So it is day 25 for the White Widow and the Zkittles juvenile's. Two ZK is going to be a squatty bush and the WW is going to be another leggy girl. I'm seeing a little bit of yellowing on the new growth tips but nothing to major.

I harvested the leggy BK 2 days ago and she is hanging in the veg cabinet. The other three are just finishing up with maybe another week to go. I feel like I cut the nutes a little early with these Auto's. I thought the would finish faster than they are and I like to stop 7 to 10 days before the chop. These ladies are yellowing up bad but not a huge deal for me. All just a learning experience.

Thanks for stopping by
