Now above everything else i am really happy with the growth i see.
The problem is both NLs are showing magnesium and nitrogen deficiency. Their soil was rich as hell but also they have more than quadrupled in height in the last 10 days, will do a half strenght feed today and see how it goes.
Also there are brown spots on both NL and DC but it is at the leaves facing the fan directly so i am thinking wind burn.
Other than that, DC looks well and happy and thats why i am thinking deficiency about both NLs.
They have been getting plain water for 10 days at 6.8 ph.

Looks like they are happy but a lil starved! Common as they are really growing and their nitrogen need is higher atm. I think u have it under control! Feed em and they would be ok. Lil cal mag and some seaweed extract should take care of the macro nutrient needs along with a some good veg regiment.

Yeah the NL is a heavy feeder based on my experiences from the first grow.
Did a feed (fish-mix, bloom, cal-mag, molasses, alg-a-mic, alfalfa ferment) I will keep it updated.
Also switched to 12/12 as they are pretty tall right now and they almost double in height when in flower.
I should have waited till i corrected the problems but then i would risk running out of space (seeing its growth in 10 days).

Added 2 strips of grow leds and turned the cob on too. I am at 480ish watts of leds total and i get some great light distrubition readings with my cheap lux meter.

Did you fix this in the leaves? Mine are showing similar symptoms with a light nute burn look at tips. I run calmag semi regularly too until about week4-5 Still more mag? My babies are doing it too n they’re well fed.

It looks a bit better after feeding and i hope it will get better. I am almost sure they are hungry. They have really grown in 10 days and i think it is just a problem about availability of nutrients to sustain that growth because only 2 NLs show it and one is in recycled soil and the other is in unused, brand new soil.
Maybe yours is a ph thing or something..

strips as sidelighing ? know that side-lighting can increase your yields by 35% (no Lie) have use 100 wat cfls' and 12by12 LED panels 45 watt. could not believe the yields and watt to run both

They are from my old fixture, which was connected in series so when one of the leds on one strip burned out i was only able to use 2 out of 4. So i dismantled it and now i run 2 of them with individual drivers and keep the other one as a back up. I hung 2 strips (these are actually pcb strips, not soft bendy ones and they run at 80 watts each.. well it is more like 86 watts draw from the wall but after usual losses lets call it 80) to each side of the diy fixture to increase coverage and improve light distrubition. I am happy with it so far.
It looks like this but better :) there are more daylight leds to the right. It is identical to the left of the cob in the pic :)

Thanks, i got them from a local store. They are not grow lights per se but their spectrum is very good (much like qb’s tho a bit less output at 600-680nm) and the blurple strips are again from a local horticultural lighting company. None of these equipment is on amazon :)
I did my best with what i had and my plants seem to like it.

They seem like they are doing well. Flower formation started (but just barely, not very visible).

The ones on the right are Dinachem and the other 2 on the left are NL.

Ah by the way i just had the pleasure to taste them both after minimal curing. Taste can be better and it probably will be after a while, not atrocious or anything, just a little harsh..
Dinachem is incredibly relaxing to me, a good and relaxing body high. 2 puff and start yawning and curling under covers :) chill and happy.
NL was just as i remembered it from my days in amsterdam. A total mindfuck which one more puff can bring visiuals. Which it kinda did this time too (basic stuff like patterns and light trails emerging before your eyes :D fun!). It was fun and scary just because i wasn’t expecting it to be so strong. My tolerance is not that high tbh but this was the best weed i smoked in a long time. And the munchies with this one is fucking amazing, i was constantly eating some shit that taste weird as fuck, but also good :)

Ok here is another update.
I did some defoliation a couple of days ago.
I have not watered for 3-4 days to do a “dry cycle” -not been doing those, i was almost growing like i am in coco and with the pebbles covering the soil and everything the soil was always damp in order to not to hurt the microheard- and watered today after i see minimal wilting of the leaves but after watering DC was looking all bloated and overwatered. I think it likes a wet feet.
This is a 4x4 tent with more than 6 feet height and all i have left with is last 10 inches to go, i hope they stop stretching soon :)
Anyway here they are.
The left back and right front ones are NL the other two are DC.
Also DC pics can be identified by huge leaves trying to give a hug to their sun :)

They are coming along nicely, buds are starting to fill up. Stretch is under control now i think. I think i will be ok.
One of my drivers gave up on me so i bought a new one ‘cause i don’t want to wait for a replacement tho i will send it back. I am at -75watts now. I think the driver will arrive in a couple of days, so just a couple of cloudy days for the plants :)
Clones are doing well too. Left ones are NL the right ones are DC. I planted them to the peat pots 5-6 days ago (little fuzy). I got great results using iba and a cloning gel combined this turn. I haven’t waited for all of them to root so no percentage is available but in 6-7 days 6 out of 8 had roots and other two had shit ton of white bumps on the stem.
By the way i am seeing the same white bumps on my flowering DCs stems near the soil (tons of white root sites). I think it is a happy plant (or it is seriously infested :D).
Took your advice @Jack og and replaced the pebbles with pine bark. Even if it doesn’t help with anything, at least it looks better :)
Just want to say DCs are doing amazing this run. They seem to like a little less food.

Here are some photos that will give you general idea about how the ladies are doin’ and also about the environment they are in.
(Some parts are blackened, just call me paranoid :))
And also i realized i have never gave you guys any info about the setup so this is how my lights and fan setup looks
I have a silenced fan from soler palau and it is the shit, works really quiet (usually when i recommend anything i own, that thing breaks immediately, lets hope not this time :D) also a can filter. They are probably too big for my operation i mean it literally fits the tent, side to side. Just two inches from both sides. Fan has 2 speed motor, i ran it on the low setting.
Lights, i put together using my old fixture and new pcbs and i think they are doing their job well as you may see from the photos :)
The grow light strip that is the closest is the one with the busted driver. Waiting for my new one to arrive. Hope it arrives quickly..
