What’s up canna growers! Hope all is dank and great! Just got done with grow number 5 and after some experimenting and pollen collection I ended up creating my own seeds with some good genetics!
Currently working on making feminized pollen, and also going through more iterations to perfect the next great strain!
Any advice or anyone willing to help a friend and gift some blueprints.. knowledge, freebies, excel sheets for a genetic seed business.
I been using AI to help with some stuff , just thought I’d also ask my fellow grow community! Any and all advice and help is welcome, thank you!
Also will be looking to trade and sell seeds soon if anyone is interested.

No feminized genetics will make a "great strain". You arent creating anything more than an inferior polyhybrid of amalgamation weed. Feminized will never hit the numbers regular seeds will, no artificial creation of breeding hermaphroditism into a line will outperform regular seeds from mother nature. The good breeding practice is to breed any hermaphroditism out, not in. Hermaphroditism weakens.

Did you make seeds from regs or from females that hermed? If the latter, you already have feminized seeds.

Very interesting perspective, I have not looked into the science behind genetics and messing with hermaphroditism. From research online it doesn’t necessarily weaken potency or characteristics but could lead to instability over time. Although I am inducing chemically with colloidal silver, and not stress related, my thoughts are that the pollen will help me create more female seeds of this same strain, which I will then selectively breed and repeat the process to get more regular seeds. But we shall see…

Made seeds from regular seeds. Got a lot of pollen and I am not only trying that pollen on seeds I germinated but I am trying to make feminized pollen and try that out as well and see how it goes

Colloidal silver application to artificially induce pollen production is absolutely stress. You have no idea how good breeding is done. Your ideas on it are ignorant, lacking common sense. Your claims are baseless. There is no "we shall see" about it. Just because you don't know, doesn't mean everyone else doesn't know. You think you are going to make anything more than mediocre weed you are mistaken. It takes several hundreds of plants hundreds to find anything special, and I doubt you can identify a prized male. How are you going to compete with real cannabis breeders who have decades of experience, won several awards, and have a cannabis cup or 2 under their belt? You cant, not chucking pollen at a few plants at home. Nobody will even pay attention because there are so many exactly like you. So many. Same idea, same amount of intelligence.

The 2 world class breeders I know will say the exact same things. They wouldn't risk damaging their reputation by breeding hermaphroditism into their genetics, using feminized seeds to breed further. Feminized is the end of the line. No point in breeding that at all unless you want to make junk. It's not for breeding, it's for the lazy grower that doesnt mind mediocre weed in trade for convenience in growing, or the dealer who could care less. They will buy whatever he hands then based on looks alone. You cant trust those seeds. The organism does what made it successful. Hermaphroditism will pop up and ruin a crop.

second study is about a testing method for identifying males, females and hermaphrodites

third study is about is about different method to induce hermaphrodism...
