Easy target and we are still living with it.

There are videos of 1950s' teens going out and having sex where smoking weed is blamed for a teen female losing her virginity at a drive-in (A genre of a cinematic theme) and the blame is on the evil marijuana and who brought that into White America? Yes you see what I mean.. Racism as culture and Weed is an evil.

I didn't know the Government patent on Medical Weed expired.
That is wicked and adds a dimension to understanding what our Government is doing with Medical Weed:
They are cashing in on it!
But we little people are not. We still go to Prison for growing our own.

No it wasn't. That was just the scare line. It's always been money. Hearst was the ass wipe because of paper and hemp competing with forestry for paper. It's always money. Just like now. Don't think for a second that someone who just signed an executive order isn't going to profit from this. Or those ass holes who put in the changes for the Farm bill under a funding bill pretense. It's all money.

Exactly... Money and control.

Hemp was a world wide form of currency, thru trade. Many things were made from it. Paper was one of the biggest, till Hearst and his cronies involved with government. And had it made illegal to control the market in whole, while making those involved very rich.

Nothing has changed, just different time and players.

Now do u understand the Jefferson argument of cleaning out every 30 years. Just saying...our forefathers seen it coming...it's still up to us, we're the only ones that will bring change. And this is written......by force should deemed necessary. That is our "duty" to our country. Written as well.

Folks have gotten to comfortable in their lifestyle, and afraid of loosing what they don't really have/own. If they can only see it.

We must fix ourselves going forward when it come to Cannabis.
I assume "out there" the great festering of grand distraction (as always) is going on.

Man is an inadequate maintainer and yet an excellent exploiter of our finite resources.
When I say we I am saying Human life over time.

So Cannabis is the theme.

Schedule III drug, under the U.S. Controlled Substances Act, is a substance with a moderate to low potential for physical dependence but a high potential for psychological dependence, with accepted medical uses, and examples include ketamine, anabolic steroids, and some combination pain relievers like Tylenol with codeine. They require prescriptions and have specific regulations for storage, prescribing, and dispensing, falling below the higher risks of Schedules I & II but above the lower risks of Schedules IV & V.

Key Characteristics:
    • Dependence Potential:
Moderate potential for physical dependence; high potential for psychological dependence.
    • Medical Use:
      Accepted medical uses in treatment.
    • Examples:
Ketamine, anabolic steroids, benzodiazepine/opioid combinations (like hydrocodone/acetaminophen), buprenorphine, GHB.
    • Regulation:
Requires a prescription, but refills are allowed (up to five within six months), and rules are less strict than for Schedules I & II.
In essence: Schedule III drugs are a middle ground, recognized medically but carrying a significant risk of addiction, necessitating careful handling by healthcare professionals.

Marijuana seed restrictions involve a complex mix of new federal law changes, a federal rescheduling executive order, and existing state-specific regulations
. The legality of purchasing, possessing, and cultivating seeds depends heavily on location and future enforcement actions.

  • Buying/Possession: For the time being, buying and possessing seeds (often as souvenirs or collectibles) is widely practiced and generally considered low-risk during the grace period.
  • Cultivation: The legality of growing seeds is strictly dependent on your specific state's laws and local ordinances.
  • Future Uncertainty: The changes effective in November 2026 create significant uncertainty for seed banks and the broader cannabis genetics trade, though many industry experts expect legal challenges or softening of the rules before then due to enforceability issues.

Great read, pros and cons:

Why marijuana rescheduling is a real shift, but not the final victory

President Donald Trump's order to reclassify cannabis as a Schedule 3 drug is a huge step forward - but operators must know its limits.
mjbizdaily.com
This is only the beginning. In Dec 2022 a bipartisan cannabis research bill was passed and signed into law

Biden makes history by signing landmark marijuana research bill into law

President Joe Biden made history on Friday when he became the first American president to sign marijuana-specific reform legislation into law.
mjbizdaily.com
that actually did nothing:

Critics question whether Biden-signed marijuana research law has ‘any value’

Six months after President Biden signed marijuana research into law, critics say the U.S. government has OK'd no new MJ research projects.
mjbizdaily.com

This is just the beginning and changes will be made long before Nov 2026. I can't wait for all the promises from the jokers this summer who haven't done squat for decades.

Of course I do, I always have understood it. I don't think you are. Also I'll add, it was 19 years as that was the rough generational age. What he and Madison were musing about was how can an elder generation enforce upon a younger generation the rules and laws that were fit at the time of passage but the younger generation didn't have a chance to vote or voice upon and may no longer be fit. Not overthrowing, or completely starting over. This discussion took place after ratification and the Amendment process was already embodied.

So how is that the younger generation accomplish what Jefferson was writing about, by participating. Vote out the old cronies and vote in the voices of the current era. Somehow these professional politicians have made serving the public good a career choice which it was never intended to be. And they've gotten the Corporate money machines to keep them there. To make change happen Americans young and old have to get off their lazy asses and vote. Even in our most hotly contested votes the turnout is pathetic. Also we have an Amendment process and when all of America participates, it actually fucking works, how about that. We went from White Male Landowners only could vote to what we have now. It's far from perfect, never was intended to be.

My last words on this, I served so I am going to give a quote here of what was often said while I was in the service. "This is one big circle jerk and we are the pivot men just waiting to hear the word switch".

SWITCH!

Peace out and Merry Christmas brother Hoss I hope it's a good one.

I am reading you in depth for the first time and I am not new.

The clear-eyed view is the nothing has changed.
Nothing will change any time soon.

I have no illusions that this isn't punted to after November 2026.

"Your Marijuana seed restrictions involve a complex mix of new federal law changes,"

Is correct however, I believe a majority of those that come and go to this shop want Mom and Pop to be free to grow.
I think it is simple 6(flowering)+6(non-flowering)+6( small plants (seedlings and clones)). Mom and Pop can live with that if it is the floor in all 50 States.

So, pardon me for stepping out of the crowd to shout "Free Mom and Pop."

Are we not tired of going to jail while people sell weed legally?

In respect, it the the philosophy of "Strike while the Iron is Hot."

Edit: and pardon, I have some disability.

I typed "In respect, it the the philosophy of "Strike while the Iron is Hot.""

I meant "In Respect, it is the philosophy of "Strike While the Iron is Hot."

Thanks, I do try.

As far as I can tell; the President's order means squat.
We are on the Crazy Train to the 2026 MidTerms.

So think of cannabis legalization as the ball being dropped on the Roulette Wheel. Round and Round it goes because the wheel doth spin into November.

What "The White House" is occupied with right now is that they took over the Department of Justice's Social Media department. If anyone is watching and knew that already then I salute you.

I sort of doubt legalizing Mom and Pop ranks very high with them right now.
I sort of doubt there is any organized leadership in what seems an every Man for Themselves run to November.

So, we must live like seeds are Schedule One.

It would seems shipping clones will remain legal.
I dislike shipping clones because it provides disease vectors and other biologic agents.

Yes I have considered how all our gardens can be infected by Governmental decree.

I think less paranoia and more "be alert." Small changes lead to big changes over time.
Seeds are safer.

My last bit of wisdom is that the war is about the Green of the Cannabis Money not the Red White and Blue Cannabis freedom for home growers.

Ninety‑two years ago the normalization of a hard drug began after making Al Capone filthy-rich, followed by its full banalization, eventually being openly glorified even by TV entertainment aimed at young audiences including Star Trek: it's called alcohol...

These epic moments of history taught lasting lessons, that once a substance has become ordinary the political class looses another socially-controlling lever - which is one good reason explaining why no seed of barley, wheat, rye, oats, corn, rice, sorghum, millet, grapes, cassava, potatoes, sugarcane, sugar beets, or anything similar ever went prohibited.

So get realistic about it, there's no way cannabis can be treated the same. The Spending Bill (H.R. 5371, Public Law 119‑37, amending 7 U.S.C. §1639o) made that clear last November: "hemp" genetics are now defined by the potential of a seed to produce plants not exceeding 0.3% "total" THC. Which ain't no normalization at all and much less legalization.

We're still talking of a valuable control tool for the masses, bigots and consumers alike!

In short the executive decree of December 18 won't cost Donald Trump anything. Legalization has been pushed decades into the future; m'well, politically-profitable decades that is. Meanwhile keep an eye on the head of DEA.
