I'm on my my second grow with some Haze XL Auto, and I'm curious - how do you predict when your buds are ready for the chop?

Yo! I grew some Haze XL Auto last season. I usually check the trichomes. that's my sweet spot.

For those final weeks, I switch to a bloom nutrient mix. Works like a charm! By the way, ever faced any challenges specific to the Haze XL Auto strain during your grow?

The trichomes on the buds will be cloudy and a few will be amber colored. Also look for the pistils to turn dark yellow or brown. They'll also droop down.

You'll want to see that there are no clear trichomes, either they are all cloudy, or partly cloudy and amber. Some strains you want as cloudy as possible, some strains you want to go a little- or even completely amber. Usually the more it's cloudy the better. But no clear thrichomes! Rather have some amber. You can see it with your eyes too without a magnifying glass if you have good vision. But a 20x lupe costs like 5-10 bucks might as well get one.
