I hate to hear that your lights are messing up I've only had mine about 4mon. No problems yet, but I'm sure I will! I only have 2 of the marsll which from what I've seen and read in other forums they are the ones having all the problems.especially the 1200s and 1600s. I decided to go with more of the reflector series because you really don't see or hear about to many of the reflector series going out on people. I wish you the best on trying to get your lights fixed!! I clicked on your link but it said you need a password or something to enter, what's it about?

WOW, I did not know that!! Yes please post some pictures it would be greatly appreciated! I know there's alot of people using the marsll or mars brand period in this forum. I myself own 2 of the marsll 400w and 4 of the 96 reflectors I'm going to create a profile to check out what other growers are experiencing so I kinda know what to expect! Thank you for your help!!!!

WOW that's crazy!!!! I assume that mars just says will send you new diodes or something for you to solder in like nothing is a big deal!! I seen something very similar to this in the 420 forums for mars I think he had like 4 1200s do the same thing and there just mailing him some parts for him to fix himself.

Also I know that mars reps have even admitted that they had lense problems on the marsll units and knew about it but yet they shipped them out to warehouses to be sold anyways, but now there saying everything is fixed doesn't look to fixed to me! They shut the mars family thread down on this forum do to many customers complaints about mars not fixing there faulty lights or holding up to there warranty. I bought all but 2 of them off ebay and you only get 1yr warranty vs if you buy directly from mars you get 2yrs. BS. Either way they basically expect the buyer to do the repairs!

Not trying to defend anyone, but my 2 cents is, that one of the most common risks with any grow comes from electrical problems. A theory I have is, I wonder if the folks having problems with their lights might be running way too many high amperage items off of too small of breakers in their house. What I know is, you shouldn't ever run high amps on anything less than a 20 amp breaker, no more than 80% of what max rating, and have at least 12AWG wire. Too many folks go dumping 2 1000w lamps in a room with fans, dehumidfiers, ac units, heaters ect. And expect everything to be okay...... maybe if you had it plugged in next to your clothes dryer..... (30amp) breaker..... anyhow, if you're running more than 80% of what your breaker in your house is rated, everything plugged into that series suffers with excess heat and strain from trying to draw power all at once due to the increase in resistance. Meaning you could burn your house down by plugging too many of anything in. Again not trying to defend anyone. Each of us growers should be doing the math for electrical fail-safe needs.

thats all true brother, these pics that i posted are from respected breeders & growers that do their math, but i appreciate your comment, for what my comments are worth, i stand behind my experience, dont get me wrong those lights kicked ass in my garden & the nugs were the shit! $1300 for lights that bearly made it passed a year is not worth, not to mention the fire hazard, Coo

The fixtures are the problem, fans not cooling, noise means bearings going bad. Venting, intake smaller than exhaust.
Cheap diodes cant stand all the heat.

I believe what you're saying. I haven't heard much about any problems with the reflector series. They've added I spectrum. I personally haven't had trouble. I feel for the folks that have had trouble though. I'm not defending or jabbing at anyone else either.
