Shock? Trying to figure it out!

Beginner grower, growing fatso auto. Came out of the gate great, did some training and bent them over. Looking good then they started to droop and turn light/neon green. Backed my lights back, soil ph was too high, dropped that down. Nute burn? Flushed for a few days. I’m baffled. Not enough experience yet to tell. Have a third fatso I didn’t train that looks pretty good had a white widow that runted And dropped but odd now my most vibrant plant. Any advice greatly appreciated!!! Please and Thank you!

HP Promix mycorrhizae in a 5 gal fiber pot. I water them daily. About 16oz of purified water. Using the homegrown cannabis co. Nutes package. My tips started to turn brown so I backed off to a couple days. Had a temp thing but it’s been between 80-73 for days now.

This is 100% a watering issue. If you’re watering daily 16 oz in a 5 gallon then you’re not watering correctly.

In 5 gallon, you should be watering 3/4-1 gallon and fully saturate the soil and get a small amount of runoff….and then let the soil completely dry out before watering again.

There’s no way you’re fully saturating and getting run off in 5 gallons with 16 oz of water.

Right now I’m sure your roots are expanding looking for what little water they can find and hitting dry pockets of soil which isn’t good. What roots you do have are getting drowned due to your daily waterings.

Thank you! I hit them with a gallon of purified bottled water reading a perfect 6.12. I didn’t see any runoff. A few breaches of the sides, but the pot was HEAVY! Now I’m going to give it a few Days. We’ll see if 100% means 100%. You definitely know how to grow cannabis.

With as dry as a lot of your soil likely was the further down you go it might’ve been a good idea to water until there was runoff to ensure saturation. I’d be willing to bet you still have dry patches

Alright, I added another 1/2 gallon to each plant. Added my nute profile, ph’ed it to 6.07. Water pooling up in my saucers. Fingers crossed. Thank you to everyone who responded!

If you’re in soil you do not need to pH your solutions. Your soil pH buffers it for you already!

Adding pH up or down to your water solution can be bad for cannabis plants if not done carefully, for several reasons:

1. pH Fluctuations: Rapid changes in pH can shock the plants, leading to stress and negatively affecting their growth. Plants need a stable pH environment to properly absorb nutrients.

2. Nutrient Lockout: Incorrect pH levels can cause nutrient lockout, where essential nutrients become unavailable to the plants. Cannabis plants typically thrive in a pH range of 6.0 to 7.0 in soil and 5.5 to 6.5 in hydroponics. Deviating from this range can lead to deficiencies, even if nutrients are present in the solution.

3. Chemical Burns: Overuse of pH up or down solutions can lead to a concentrated mix that can chemically burn the plant roots. This can damage the root system, leading to stunted growth or even plant death.

4. Soil Microbiology Disruption: In soil-grown cannabis, a sudden change in pH can disrupt the beneficial microorganisms that help break down organic matter and facilitate nutrient absorption. This can harm the overall soil health, affecting the plant’s ability to thrive.

5. Water Quality: The water itself might have contaminants or high levels of dissolved salts, which could worsen when adding pH-altering chemicals, especially if the water is not properly filtered or treated.
