You can most definitely defoliate the plants at the top of the post. It's not too late at all. The plants in the video are the autos you're wondering about? They look fine to me for their stage of growth. Nothing to worry about yet, I don't think. Enjoy 'em!

Hi so I messed up I thought I got autos but the two big plants are not autos ...your suspicions were correct I don't know what to do now as I have a auto( (definitely a auto )that's beginning flower and two photos in the same tent any advice how to manage this best would be appreciated

Run the Auto with whatever Photo light cycle you’re running. 18/6 or 12/12, the auto doesn’t care.

Ok thanks been running 24/0 but I'll switch to 18/6 till the auto is ready to harvest then flip the photos 12/12?
If that's the case no problems
Thank you

Take out some of the light blocking leaves and any yellowing & dying. You can always take those types off cept for the last couple of weeks. The plants look healthy & sometimes too much is way too much. This year is going to be GREAT !!

i have to disagree on that. i tried autos on 12/12 while photos were flowering and it was just a waste of seeds.
flowered but all popcorn buds.
and IMHO 24/7 is bad. everything needs some rest

There’s nothing wrong with 24/7
Case of bad growers blaming something for their mistakes
Nor is it that harmful to put a auto under 12/12 when the need arises
Everything needs a rest is bro science

I highly suggest you don’t defoliate autos the photo periods yes no problem doing them

You could stick with 24/0 up until you plan to flower the photo periods

autos under 12/12 suck, period!

You can leave things be if you want and when you are ready for those photos to bloom just move them somewhere completely dark for 12 hours a day. Autos aren't dependent on a light cycle for their growth cycle so cutting them down to 12 hours is just limiting their growth potential.
