Should I eliminate big leaves?

Is it beneficial to pull the fan leaves and allow more light into the plant? It's my 1st grow and some say yes some say no. My buddy strips his almost bare it seems. Thank for the help

I definitely wouldn’t defoliate them there aren’t bushy they are getting plenty light

Some might id lump them in the group

On my outdoor plants i only remove yellow dying leaf. Some will start yellowing and fall off other just snip off. When mine go into flower then i may snip a few, what you don't want if your area is humid is PM, sweating plants. Good air flow is one of the keys.
