Not even a little true. If you are looking at the wrong part of the plant then yes they will be all amber (like on the sugar leaves)
If you are looking at the calyx itself like you are suppose to then you will be around 5% or less amber with the rest milky
Telling someone to cut a plant too soon is a poor method... but hey if you want to cut yours prematurely go for it dude.
Anyone can test out the theory by harvesting some buds when you say they are ready and actually waiting til they are ripe and doing a side by side. The ones that are ripe will always blow the premature out of the water.
