Well I know these little runts of plants did not do well. I think mostly because the pots were way to small but was my first attempt. They are auto flowers. At this point about all of the leaves have fallen off other than main bud. Should I just cut my losses and pull now or will they continue to grow?

Ok, I have one in a 3 gallon pot and it’s doing way better it’s 3-4 times the size. All were grown in fox farm ocean. I’m going to start 2 new ones in 3 gallon pots in the next couple days. Wondering if I should try indoor under lights or keep outside. Being auto flower I’m pretty sure I have time for 1 more outside try. “Ohio”

I'm in south east Michigan and it's too late for me to start another round of autos. If you are in southern Ohio you may have time. Keep in mind, the breeder's harvest estimates are usually optimistic and in my case I add a couple more weeks to their suggested dates.
Oh, and I grow in 7 gallon bags. Gives me a fudge factor when watering.

Left 3 are Red Pure CBD Autos, Right 3 are CBD Purple

Here is a pic of only other plant I have. I also transplanted it while it was very small into the 3 gallon fabric pot. But as you can see by others it’s doing a lot better than the 2 in the small pots.

it's looking better, but i wouldn't say a lot better, still rather dwarf, where are all the fan leaves, what did happened to them.

also now i can see the others plant is a lot smaller than what i thought at first.

(also plant can grow rather big even in small pot, the pot size isn't your issue here on start up that's something else)

Well I only removed a few fan leaves that were turning brown and a few dropped off but by no means heavily manicured them. Maybe 5 leaves total between the 3 plants. Just wondering if they are not getting enough Sun or I’ve read fox farms ocean soil may not be very good. BUT only bought it because I read that it was great! So no telling, but want to start a couple more but not sure if I should scrap the fox farms and just use regular soil out of garden.

Most the ocean soils are kind of "hot" in nutrient value to start. I have had good luck mixing 1 part Happy Frog, 1 part Ocean Floor, and a decent amount of perlite. I don't start with nutrients until 3-4th week. Just the way I do it. Lots of options.

Ok, I added no nutrients wouldn’t know were to start without burning up the plant. But maybe I will buy some happy frog to mix, think local hardware store has it in stock. Just always heard just plant it. It’s only a weed and will grow on its own. Apparently not quite the case!

ocean forest is perfectly fine from seed to harvest, that's not the issue you had on start up, could be watering pratice un unproper wet dry cycle , and else. also yeah at some point you 'll need to add some nutrient.

but plant should grow healthy and vigorous the first 3-6 weeks without the need to add any

I know what you mean. Some are more finky than others. Once you get it figured out it is very rewarding, but frustrating as hell sometimes. I hate when I get too high before I water and forget what the hell I am doing.
