Wondering if I should flip in the next couple of days or wait a little longer. Almost 12" tall and a 5' high tent.

Is it showing its sex? If it isn't wait until it does, then it will be a mature plant and ready to make some buds.

I'm in a 5 foot tent and the last 2 grows my plants have managed to stretch way more then I expected them to. In my 5 foot tent the pot takes up a foot, the light fixture takes up 6 inches and she needs at least 12 inches between the light and the top of the canopy. That leaves me 2-1/2 feet to grow in.
I flipped these, this is on 12-24-2024.

They got close enough to the light that I super cropped them 3 weeks into flower. It can get crowded in there if they decide to get tall. but you have options like using a net to keep them trained low. Best of luck!

With a 5' high tent, I wouldn't go any taller. Don't forget you need to account for the space at the top of the tent you'll lose from your ventilation/light, and the minimum 18" you'll want between your light and the tops of your canopy.

I have a 6' tall tent. I need roughly 18" at the top for my ventilation/light, and another 18" from light to canopy. I factor in the stretch to double my plants height (although this may vary). Lets say you also need 18" to account for your ventilation/light, after also factoring in the 18" between light and canopy, this leaves you 24" of usable grow space - so if we're factoring in that the stretch will double the plants height, this leaves a maximum pre-stretch plant height of 12".

I let my plants get to a maximum of 16" in my 6' tall tent before flipping.

Another suggestion, mainline the alfa stems, prune and defoliate about 2 weeks before flower.

Many effective ways to manage the canopy. Especially if you take into account it's lineage.
Sativas and Sative dom. Hybrids usually stretch alot and for a longer time period.
Indica and Indicadom. Hybrids usually stretch less and are much bushier.

Could be starting it or keeping it warm during winter, maybe they know something we dont with a pest management😆

I was thinking about trying to keep a couple orchids in my shed : ) and I have a Hoya plant coming from family Im going to get in there at some point.

Yup for bugs. Never have bugs when there is basil in there.
