Hey,

long time listener, first time caller.

I got some plants on the grow, 5 out of 6 are doing great. All from seed.
Growing Green house seed Super Lemon Haze. Barney LSD, DNA shark breath, Reserva Prada OG Kush.

All plants are in one gallon pots, in number 4 potting mix. Feeding Pure blend pro grow from Botnaicare as per instructions. 3-2-4 veg formula. Hand watered

Plants are in their 5th week since germination. I am really happy with the look of all plants except for one of the OG KUSH. She was leading all the plants in growth until about 5 days ago. The leaves started to get yellow tips and then you could see the yellow slowly taking over inside the leaves. The stems are bright purple and the fan leaves are drooping bad. Looks like over watering now when compared to her sister in the last pic who's branches are green and shooting upward nicely.

I watched it for a day and the problem kept getting worse so I decided to flush the pot in case of build up but think this is unlikely. another day and things we not getting better or worse. Now thinking deficiency IE nitrogen? Mix slightly higher strength food and water plant. Observe for 48 - no significant change.

The top of the plant seems to be growing fine and the discolored leaves are only on the bottom branches.

Open to suggestions??

And baked when I typed this so hope I make sense.

Thanks

how's you're ph doing? (is you're meter calibrated?) looks like something is getting locked up.

Are there any pests in the room? If you don't see flyers, scratch around the top inch or two of medium and look real close to the inside upper rim of your pot. Do you see any whiteish, fast moving crawlers?

You said: "She was leading all the plants in growth until about 5 days ago. The leaves started to get yellow tips and then you could see the yellow slowly taking over inside the leaves. The stems are bright purple and the fan leaves are drooping bad." So #1 growth on this one stopped #2 plant leaves looks like its starving #3 purlish stems and drooping leaves appearing to be over watering. Those are the early signs of a root aphid infestation.

Could be nutes or pH though... Luck to ya bro,

Likely a pH issue. Are you testing regularly?

You'll need bigger pots soon. I'd say a minimum of three gallons.

My experience with that OG is that it likes heavy feeding and dry feet, if that helps. Don't water her often (always pH your water first), and let her dry out a bit more than your other strains.

I am just picking up new pots today. Will transplant in 48 hrs.

No bugs in the room or roots.

Yeah, those are clearly seedlings and not clones so the insect threat is greatly reduced (purchasing clones is a promiscuous act). The leaves are showing the early signs of a calcium deficiency, which is nearly always pH related and not a lack of calcium at all.

With the details you have given I have no choice but to make a few assumptions.

One being you are feeding with ro water and have developed a light deficiency that is easily corrected with an addition of a cal/mag supplement. Some variates of marijuana require an unreal amount to avoid deficiency's.

or

Second assumption is that you are feeding with tap water and have developed an alkaline situation in your medium causing a lockout due to the reactions in the medium that have occurred (test the ph of your run-off).

If you could give us a bit more detailed version of your program the farmers may be able to offer a bit more help.

Thanks for the help on the Kush. I decided it looked too weak to continue so I pulled it out. The others will get an extra couple weeks of veg to make up for the loss.

But to prevent this from happening again I did a nutrient test on the nutrients in the potting mix.
(this is from a store bought test kit so I dont know how good the results are)
As follows:

pH of water 7.5

Plant pH 8.0

N4

P2

K2

I know my pH is all screwy but the remaining plant are loving the conditions. Given this info I wonder if lock up was the problem in the sick plant ?

Thanks for all the help I will keep this grow posted.

Farmer John hit it on the head with the second assumption.

alkaline ph lockout. above 7 bad stuff starts to happen. I recommend getting your ph in check otherwise you may find other problems popping up in flower or with the other plants.

Please disregard my last post. I pulled my head out of my ass and just bought some PH down...

For a smart guy I do stupid good..
