are you happy with the galaxyhrdro 300 ? so use cfl's for side lighting with led's ? side lighting can increase yields by 25% (+) would not grow without side lighting in flower.I am new, spent quite a bit setting up. Plan to use my t5 to veg but not I have it mounted horizontally in the back wall of my closet. I have in 4100k bulbs cuz I'm flowering
I know i need a real led. My galaxy 300 is just enough give some good red off. I still have 6 cfls, 23/42w n 2700 n 6500
But why not more people using side/angled lighting??
Ideally some led strips, but the T5 really brighten things up a ton. I know an hps will get down, below & into the canopy......but just seems like some cheap insurance??
Am I wrong? Wasteful?
Just trying to learn as much as I can n make the best of the space I have.
were is post - sounds like i will need cfls' for side lighting with thw galzxyhrdro 330's (have to for a 3by2 space)No. Not happy.
Getting a 315 mch or timber led.
$80 300w leds are not quality pieces
Been buying extra lights since I got it. I made a tiny cfl light box n am making a larger one til I can afford a $500 light.
I have a post on 225w leds. Check it, got lots of light recs n advice. Cats here know wtf is up n don't bs around.

your right - but Kind LED has strips starting at about $600.00 way way to much - heard that the ones on amason are junk - what do you think?I am new, spent quite a bit setting up. thanks !!! Have used 500 watter's cfl's ( 105 in total watt used) with 100 watters for side-lighting (use 33 watts) and have gotten very good results now wanting to increase yields ,ect went to led's - guess going to use cfl's as side-lighting with 2 galxthrdro 300'sThis is the top side of mine. I have two true long 42w in each side.
Then I have a 6 bulb one 80% done but went on vacation n got sidetracked
Got all parts, mostly built. Just wire n finishing touches n make sure it wouldn't ever catch fire.
These isn't ideal but cheap and lovallly bought, I started with half the parts from when I just had cfl n a 35w led bulb from veg.
Doesn't get lower into canopy......but I have light from top n all back wall
at what distance do you use for veg (18 inches ?) with the galaxy ? flower 12 inches ? can't seem to find your post - thanksNo. Not happy.

running 18 inches -thanks !!! (12 inches flower ?)15-22 inches.
Top leaves will show burn. So adjust based on that

But lower eod until you see some light burn signs.
Don't go lower then 14, or I wouldn't
