How many lamps can one ballast run?...im dealing with about 55 square feet and will probably do 4 600watt lamps for 2400 watts total. And whats better conversion bulbs or a conversion ballast?

I'm sure if you got a large enough power supply and had some wiring/electrical skills, you could match the ratings up. But using individuals would be far easier.

Well that answers my ballast question...i'm assuming one ballast per bulb/lamp is the norm than. So what this states is that i also need 4 -600 watt individual ballasts. I really would not prefer to run a digital ballast all day. So anyway, what about my plans? I'm figuring on about 25-30 plants for my first trial...any pointers?

and read more! Theres a ton of information on the web.
Grow journals are a good start, find one or 2 that start with seed and go all the way through harvest. Read them and take notes.
Find another journal or 2 that are just starting again with seed and follow along.
You'll learn plenty

Also, the search option here will help with any questions you may have, if you cant find an answer that way, post a thread on it and go from there.

The most difficult thing with growing MJ is not giving it too much luv in the first 2-3 weeks of its life. Dont rush it, if you've provided a good environment, the plants will know how to respond...
