Xceptional said:you're missing the most important piece of RDWC..... nutrient solution temperature control! the major issue with DWC is the temp of the nutrient solution.
I painted my pilot DWC bucket white and under the HPS the water stays at room temp . . .
res temps can be fixed in dwc as well..I run One DWC..been looking at the rdwc .But for me I move plants from veg room to flower room and it seems more diffacult to move a rdwc then just one bucket..Thats my stand on it..I do run a few along side my soils..good luck on your upgrade
:passingjoint:
I move my 10" netpots from veg to my rdwc with no problem...MPB system...
Your pro and cons list is right on..
Room temp is asking for problems most around here run there water temps at or below 68...
Good luck...
your netpot is attached to the lid? LoL wut? really?
The amount of heat from the pump is nothing compared to the heat from the light(s)....airpumps can probably add more heat to the water than pumps do.I was under the impression that increased temperature of the nutrient solution was a result of being constantly cycled through an electric impeller . . . ?
But what is your room temp?? Unless it is constantly 65-70f, the room temp is to warm for the water...but then again if your garden air was that cool then your plants would be less happy, lol!I painted my pilot DWC bucket white and under the HPS the water stays at room temp . . .
so instead of moveing the whole bucket..you just move the plant and the top. My net is part of the lid..lol..ya not worried about the roots eh?:bong-hits:..thanks for clearing this up 4me:cool0010:

Kpeeze said:yep, you can move the plants just grab the net pot and move it to the other room, water temp water temp water temp soooo important I keep mine at 68

if you dig your DWC step up to the bigs and make life easier on yourself.
