What up Farmers. Day 51 and still a couple, if not, three weeks to go. I’ve hit a milestone where I think I need to hold some of these colas up before they break. I’ve got 2 trellis nets up which are working great for the lower branches, but I didn’t anticipate the monsterous stretch of the main branches. I’ve researched and came up with some ideas but I’d like some feedback from the farm. What do you guys use to hold up your trich filled resinous colas upright? Fishing line sounds desirable but fiddling with fishing line right now doesn’t. Let’s converse. Here’s some of the bigger colas that need assistance.

Thanks OD. I think my wife falls into a different generation don’t think I’ve ever seen a pair of those laying around here. I think some of that soft engineering colored stuff they use at the end of grade stakes on construction sites would work great.

In a tent you can use those retractable plant yo yo’s. Hook to roof bars and attach to the colas.

Or just use string.

I dont flower in a tent. I use bamboo stakes and soft tie. But if i trellised i would hang 2 nets. Failing that the yo yos look slick.

Yeah one of the best parts of a grow is to see them explode like that. Now that we have experience on when it stops. That first time just gives you more grey hair by the day and even when they stop the next few are stressful wondering if it really did stop.

Now it's like go ahead grow another 3inchs and see what happens... I dare ya.

My last crop stretched over 100% caught me with my pants down too. Previous attempts at that strain weren't nearly as leggy. Cloned from those very plants. Ended up cutting day 9 flower... probably cost me in the end...

Gotta love the sativas though. They finally stopped stretching mid way through week 4. They are currently Sitting at 56” with the trellis nets about 35-40” Oops.
