Previous, I have grown 10 sugar biscuits (dos-i-dos x animal cookies), discarded the males, and cloned the best female. The smoke was good, and this genetics is nice because of the large buds and resinous production.

I have ordered 10 seeds of Skunk #1 ((Columbian x afghan) x Acapulco gold) an old strain which has been kept and grown/replicated by AG seeds, the idea here is to get back some of the skunk attributes that have been bred out over time. These 10 seeds will be grown in soil, probably immediately under 12/12, i will keep one male and keep the pollen to impregnate the sugar biscuits.

On the way is two clones, cherry gar see-ya (ethos) and orange kush cake (ethos). The cherry gar-see-ya will be next impregnated by the skunk, with the same skunk #1 pollen.

The seedlings are being kept in a tote, the humidity is low at sub 55 due to being in the lung room for a flowering tent.. additionally, the fluorescent light only gives 25 PPFD, much lower than 150-200 PPFD expected, so this will need to be upgraded soon.

Orange kush cake and cherry clones arrived, well packaged and healthy 3 inch roots cube, but they kinda look rough

One skunk #1 died due to dampening off, I think the low ppfd and no circulating fan caused this, they've all been topped up and re enforced with soil and moved outdoors for the improved environment

RIP to 5 of the skunk #1s, due to dampening off (due to planting into wet soil 50/50 perlite, then having two days of rain + weak stems from poor light nd circ start ) a sacrificed one of my flowering es180s to give them better enviro, should have done this from the start.

Im along for the ride on this one bro. I too ran the AG 1988 Skunk out of the 6 plants I ran I kept the females but I wasn't that wildly impressed. Had a nice zesty smell but it wasn't skunk it had a citrus fruit and slight sativa smell. It was potent and got me and my buddies high but it didn't have that skunk smell I was hoping for. Its a numbers game with those old strains so perhaps you will have more luck than me. I have some legit 1990s San Diego Catpiss/OG Kush stuff going right now I kept cuts of the best male and honestly the stem rubs on that strain blows the 1988 AG skunk WAY out of the water. It's not even a comparison. That Catpiss male I got may be louder in veg than the 1988 AG skunk was in flower no joke. Thats how much louder it is. Either way Im excited to see how this comes out keep us posted on your undertakings! 😎 ✌️

Also it's important to note don't be discouraged about what I said regarding the AG Skunk and the reason why is because your breeding with it and its possible that you find something amazing in there however your likely gonna need to hunt in order to find it. Your best bet would be to take the progeny to F2 in your breeding project and do a really big seed run on that second harvest. Your gonna need to pop through dozens and dozens of beans but if you burn and turn enough plants its possible that you find something unique. I have a buddy who did the 1988 AG skunk pheno hunt he went through 50 beans before he found a female that he said had good gas on the nose. He actually feminized that cut and sent me beans Im running it right now. Im hoping its better than the ones I ran before he did a ton of the pheno hunting for me we will see.

That's crazy. I'd be looking for different genetics. I'd love to have some 1983 Oregon Skunk. I have some now that's close, but not quite there.

That San Diego catpiss sounds like a great find, did you get it from seed?! Ill be looking for something like that.. in the meantime I will take AGs to F2 and see what I can get..
