This was the first 2 days of growth. Noticed stretching. And have determined to just fill with soil, keep eye on temps and humidity.

Day 5: Seedling

To combat stretching and fix I filled in with soil I’ve rapid rooter. Being sure to moisten without packing it in to allow stem to produce upper root level.

Temp at 74-76*F

Beginning hardening off of seedling to attempt to prevent any more stretching.

True leaves are beginning to open

Came home to a power outage. Hopefully she will not be too stunted by the change to outdoors for the day temporarily.

Power is restored! Thank god. I have an early sundown outside due to the woods surrounding me and I do not want my girl dead. This is my 4th go around due to some poor diy equipment and bag genetics the first two times.

Seedlings don’t need to be in a humidity dome (nor hardened off), both are for clones which have no roots (or moving an indoor plant outside). So take the plastic bag off and only water the soil (not the plant). When you water wet all the soil in the cup and then wait until the soil drys out before watering again.

Most likely you don’t have sufficient light if you’re getting a long stem. Can’t tell from your video, but looks like a desk lamp with a grow bulb? Which isn’t going to cut it. What is your setup?

It is a FS LED grow light just for seedling. Oddly enough it does have setting for veg and flowering. Waiting on my full 2x2 tent setup in postal service.

Right now just for seedling I have that light, and wax warmer in the corner giving heat of a terrarium I have repurposed. ambient at 74-76. Running light at 24/0 and planned on doing the same until veg.

Well hopefully your light arrives soon. Full spectrum is kind of a bogus term - kind of like “natural” food. So it might or might not be offering substantially amount of light for your plant.

Good to have the heat, but guessing your humidity is too high and will become a big peopblem down the road. Do a search of Vapor Pressure Deficit, which will give you a good idea of what you will want your temps & RH to be.

I agree. I’m praying the humidity isn’t going to be a gremlin. The post seems to be taking forever. Thank you for your help!

This is where we are at today. From what I’ve seen in research usually the second set of true leaves appear before the first grow into a node.

Is this normal, maybe just the genetics?

I have been measuring and she is no longer stretching. But once that stopped the node grew and no second leaf set. Just wanting to know more about how this one will grow out and what to expect.

Last night I flipped her light cycle from 24/0 to 18/6. She seemed stalled and doing that made some more froth happen through the night.

Growing in fox farm happy frog, her first two leaves have been not crispy but a little curled on top edges. Ppfd at 250 umols and temp is stable at74* light on 70* lights off. Just wondering if anyone has any advice so far?

I believe the curled ends and standing leaf on one side wee due to light stress when I had her stuck on 24/0. She has been relaxing over the last 2 days since I flipped her lights to 18/6. and new growth is beginning to appear at a small level. Gotta look close for the next node right now.

Half of the equipment has arrived. AeroLab device running lung room temp and humidity. Prove giving tent reading Bluetooth to the app.

She is starting her 3rd node and growing really tightly. Second node came out with all 3 fingers.

Any thoughts on my VPD at this stage? New lights and circulation system are delayed in the mail.

Please help! Purple stems on all new growth going into the leaves and burnt tips. She was watered 2 days ago and is now drooping.

I’m thinking magnesium but she’s so young that I don’t want to jump the gun! Please somebody tell me what you think?!?.

What do you feed it? Don't worry about the purple stems from the fan leaves. That has happened and is still happening as my current growth continues. And, as you can see, mine has purple stems on the fan leaves and is doing very well in my opinion.

Haven’t fed her yet as I know my soil is high in nitrogen and should last her a month or so. My plan is organic compost teas for supplemental nutrients and I believe grow dots will be what I use throughout the grow.

Left the house today and it rained so my lung room humidity spiked and shot the tent up to about 82%RH. Gardening is so good for my anxiety and also so bad for my anxiety.

Yesterday evening before her bedtime we moved from solo cup to 3 gal fabric pot. Still with the fox farms happy frog soil. Gave her a little water post transplant and let her rest during lights off. This morning finished her watering at 350ml total post transplant.

She definitely seemed stressed after transplant but thankfully my environment didn’t change too much through the process so she is almost back up to snuff after just a day.
