well. I I had my tent sucking in so bad so I tried the old school plastic hanger in the corner thing.

The temporary exhaust fan I have has on and off. That’s it. So I’ve been managing the environment just fine. But wanted to fix that sucking in of the tent.

Let’s just say that Negative air Pressure is definitely pressurizing. Put in the hangers. Closed the tent. And 3 seconds later… POP! I turn around to see broken hangers left and right and my girl layed on her side.

I used some garden wire to stake her up and cleaned up the mess.

She perked up overnight and I did mix in some biochar/compost from wakefield with mycorrhiza to the free soil and top filled after mixing. This gives her some added support in many areas and I hope that the MYC will promote better root growth and uptake Before it is time to mainline.

Also have enough leftover biochar for my compost teas when she is ready for some boosts in a few weeks to a month.

Nice setup and looks like your well on your way. Crazy how we put so much effort and time into growing a weed.

Thanks. Ballin on a budget lol.

genetics - 10$ RQS from STRNG Seeds
2 pack rapid rooter - 3$ STRNG Seeds

12cuft Fox farms Happy Frog - 5$ Ace Hardware (on sale)
Biochar/Compost - 5$ Walmart

Melon farm 2x2x4 - 40$ on amazon
3gal Fabric pot - 3$ Ace Hardware
Plastic saucer - 1$ walmart
FS A19 bulb - 5$ walmart
Outlet timer - 5$ walmart
Vivosun AeroLab - 20$ Amazon
UltraSonic diffuser (cool mist humidity - 15$ walmart

*Portable bladeless fan - 0$ home
*inflate-able decoration fan for exhaust - 0$ Home
* light fixture is an old lamp I broke down - 0$ Home
*power strip is from my US general toolbox - 0$ home

112$ not including any power costs but I was already constantly running the inflatable Christmas tigger from Winnie the Pooh all the time and the lights are LED. As well as accessories being USB. So it’s been a fairly low voltage run so far but she is responding well to the environment and any changes made so far. Shes a very adaptive girl. Very demure. Very mindful

Added a diffuser that I taped up to block light (NEW and CLEAN). Works just like a cold mist humidifier and bring me up to 61%RH with 71*F and VPD @ 1.0

Yes, she will be topped once the newest node has come up a bit in height ( enough to get my snips in there) which will probably be tomorrow evening or the day after.

Just got some blackstrap molasses, made my IPM spray for preventative, and have a regimen in place for PM preventative sprays once every 3 weeks.

ALL OF THESE ARE NATURAL AND ORGANIC RECIPES! Most of which my late grandfather in law used when he grew in the 70s and 80s.

I was absolutely terrified to make the cut but I did it!!!

Topped at 6th and keeping 5 and 6 for the mainline. Removed all growth lower than the 5th. Ultimately kept these due to the internodal spacing and they were the first to have fully developed fan leaves with 5-7 fingers.

I also kept the top and have placed it in soil with H202 and water solution to attempt to clone. Not sure how I will make it fit into the tent if it is successful but i did this more so for the experiment.

She has been thriving and looks healthy, no signs of any deficiency, pests, etc. but she is showing signs of stress and I’m not sure if it is from training or something else.

Over the day her lower node leafs will flip completely upside down and then overnight the go right back to praying.

What is this a sign of? What is causing this?

*I have not been PHing my water due to only using filtered water and no nutes. Only watered with molasses once over a week ago. This is a process I will be doing when my pen comes in bc I don’t want to leave anything on the table.

I know you messages me about this issue.
I decided to find your thread so I'll now get notifications and can follow along.

Are you talking about the bigger leaves at the top of the plant?
Hard to tell from the pic but the black and white pic, the top right leaf is the one that looks like it's flipping over to me.

Just want to make sure I'm looking at it properly before giving my input.

What are you running your light at? Height and intensity?

Is 70 your day or night temp?

72 is a little low for a day time veg temp. I would get her up around 80 and boost the humidity a little too.

With the light and settings you're running, I don't think the plant is shielding itself from the light.

Maybe there's a chance the light is reflecting from somewhere and the leaves are turning toward the reflection to get more of the light.

Possibly, I will look at raising temp and humidity and see what that does for her!

72 is a good mid to late flower temp, want it to get cooler toward harvest.
Pretty much from seed to harvest is a temp transition from warmer in the seedling and veg stages to cooler in the flower stages.

I just looked up the strain info for Skunk XL and it says it prefers a warmer climate.

Raising temp and humidity should trigger a good growth response.

I understand having the VPD number on point but you want that along with a warm tent temp in veg so use your temp as a constant parameter around 80 and then bring the humidity up to balance the vpd.

I thinking adding just a little more light would be beneficial as well.

Yes she is!!! I love it, and they have been a great help as far as specific information about this strain and how she has grown out in the past.

Well. We had some fails but she’s still kicking.

Yesterday when staking down for training I twitched and broke a main stalk. So we are down to 3 mains or 6 tops

This morning. I woke to her having a broken auxiliary branch from the stress of going up in the stake.

Grower error tbh. I need to be checking more often and being a little slower when defol. And training.
