I made the switch to a sealed flower room recently(12x12) with co2. How do you control smell in a sealed room?

Most folks running sealed, just place a typical carbon scrubber in there with a large fan so that it sucks air into the filter. If the fan is large enough, the air exchange through the filter is at a high enough rate to keep the air pretty odor-free. Nothing is 100%, but this setup is usually adequate for all but the most stealthy requirements.

Thanks for the reply. So just put a fan on a can and let it run?

Not trying to be a smart ass maniac, but if the room is sealed odor shouldn't be a problem unless the door is opened, right?

you are most correct hrssh. however. I have a sealed room also but still worry about smell. as a precaution i would use a scrubber. However. IF the price is out of range, just get a few odor sprays and keep people far from the grow area.

Even tho the smell is contained. it can still leak out. maybe from passive intakes? hell when i open my room for a split minute, my work area starts to smell. If the door stays open for a few minutes, the whole house smells.

Plus guys, we have to remember that odors permeate ANY substance if the concentration of odor molecules is high enough--for a long enough period. That's why that oz you take to your buddy's house 20 mins away, will stink up the car no matter what baggie you put it in, or how many you use. It truly can be airtight, but given enough time, you can still smell it through the baggie(s).

So manicgrower, you only have two choices, Ozone Generation (big no-no in a sealed room) or a carbon scrubber. And yeah, basically mount the fan onto the carbon filter and your good to go. No ductwork needed if your runnin sealed.

I have made carbon scrubbers from 2 or 3 A/C air filters with charcoal applid on the filter and the filters stacked one on top of the other inside a homemade box..also seen some good ones made from metal pipe.

The DIY ones are much cheaper and work as well as expensive ones. Google the subject and you can find the plans.
