So i got these autoflowers

All in canna prof soil, 10L pots, water when dry. Using silic rock every feed, callmag about once a week, canna vega every other watering and since preflower stopped rhyzotonic completely. Ph always around 6.5, 700-900ppm every feed. Big ones dry up completely in 2 days. Small one takes about 4. All outdoor.

2fast2vast strain. Broke her bad at first LST but she recovered nicely. Flowering doesn't look too good tho when compared to the others?
So i got these autoflowers

Dutch Power strain. No problems besides the smell. Since flowering she started to smell a bit like piss but when you smell the actual tops, it's still that nice danky smell. Ammonia from rot paires with sharpness, but there's non of that. Checked for mold or anything but besides a caterpillar, nothing alarming.
So i got these autoflowers 2

So this sad Critical+ strain had the most stable stats of all of them, but for some reason stagnated and now starts throwing flowers. It all smells fine and just now started going again. Couldn't find anything wrong beside the occasional bug. I'll let her ride but i think, when seeing the rest, she's not gonna give any quality. (Ye there's bird shit, they're sharpshooters here)
So i got these autoflowers 3

Some more pics. Wondering if i should just lollipop the little Crit+ one?

Newbie myself... I have attempted 17 autoflowers and got 7 to completion. Everyone them was very sensitive. 5 out the 7 heat stress sent them into preflower with the first 2 weeks. I will play with them again at some point. For now i moved to photoperiod which seems much better suited for a newbie.

Ye more room for error with photos. One wrong move with af's and you have half a plant, or none :p one of my photos is being terrorized by catterpillars and edema atm but still growing strong. If that happened to these af's they'd be gone.

Dutch Power starting to fill up. Started with piss smell, turned to a very nice sour smell. Smell her the moment I step outside tho.

Into week 10. Getting close. Smells so good even the neighbours start telling me 😂

Day 72 (week 11) and I was wondering if she'll fatten further? Almost all trichs are milky and there's been some amber spotted at the very top. But. She still looks fairly small? I don't know what size buds is "normal". Breeder's indication was 8-9weeks.

This PP would be my very first harvest, so hoping for the best

I grow autos almost exclusively. I'm not sure what you will find when you dump that pot upside down and get rid of the waste, but I wonder if the roots were cramped.

I grow in hydro exclusively, and the roots generated in my bucket would likely fill the space in your pics that holds the soil and roots in yours. But I could be completely wrong because the growing styles are so different.

When I checked the roots after cutting i noticed the roots didnt really grow through the top half. At the bottom it did and the roots were growing upwards right to around the middle of the soil so guess i stunted it at the start. Most likely with wrong Ph water.

First time autoflower and tbh this shit's hard. One mistake is like a punch to the kidney.

You know, it's funny. I started growing with autos, and they seem so easy to me. I've grown one photo-period, and it was the lowest yield of any plant I ever grew! (75g I do NOT recommend the Mimosa seeds from Royal Queen Seeds! Only 1 out of 10 seeds germinated). The speed at which they grow definitely means if things go wrong, they go wrong quickly. For people with busy lives, that can be a problem.

But I like being able to run my tent lights 20 hours on per day. Flaps open for increased airflow. For someone with a lot of light, and not much room, autoflowers can just be grown openly in the living room. Hell, someone without much light could just hang a light from their ceiling and grow an Auto in their living room. That means that autoflowers can have the lowest initial start-up cost to a new indoor grower. Those things can't be done with photo-periods. They definitely have merits to enduring the learning curve.

When you say that the roots grew upwards to half the pot, did you maybe transplant it too deeply? I don't transplant my plants, I germinated in the final pot. But I think that is also something that is different between soil and hydro growing. Also, the main reason that I don't transplant, is that the grow guide for autoflowers (available at the @RoyalQueenSeeds website) said specifically NOT to transplant autoflowers as the shock to their system would likely interrupt their rapid growing life cycle.

It's hard to be much help during the post mortem, but that's all I really got...

This morning it was time. Last night everywhere I checked had a bit of amber, so i removed the big fanleaves and hung her up. Trying with all my might to get that temp down to 18C, or at least 20C. View attachment 2506467

Congrats on your first harvest…I’m sure it feels great…will feel even better when you get to smoke the fruits of your labor!

Right around the corner brother!
Yes....I got everything ready....im a old school guy....I germinate in soil....on a heating pad and a light right up close a personal....rocket seeds wants you to soak them... then between a paper towel....they say 80% success rate....shit i damn near have 100%success rate my way

Seeded straight into a 10L pot (3gallon?) never transplanted. I was kinda stumped on why it turned out this way, since it's sister is doing great. Found some notes from the start, saw 7.0Ph measured in runoff somewhere around the start, so that's my guess. Ph too high in early veg, roots couldnt handle that. Drying soil in early veg for an AF is also a battle, since it can take 4 to 5 days easy before you can water again. If that's 4-5days of wrong Ph water, you bet there's gonna be some daredevil level stunting incoming. But in comparison I also have an AF that had Ph 5.8 one watering in early veg. Insert 4-5 days of waiting for soil to dry and bam. Stunt. Can tell that I would rather have >7.0Ph than <6.0Ph. The 5.8Phed one looks like shit, will be turned into trim for butter.

I kinda prefer photos. Its easier to manage, easier to fix mistake and does what you want when you want.

Now it's a new battle keeping those stats just right for drying.
I cannot for the life of me get that fkn drying tent below 22C. I do have a good grip on the Rh now tho.

With a bit of luck, next weekend would be taste test before they go into cure (if there's even any visible bud left after drying this tiny ass plant xd otherwise, even more edible trim)

That takes me back to my first time growing. Had no yard and i was in school, so I got these mats and lights for inside. I had okra, tomatoes, ginger and potatoes going.. inside a 20M2 (~200sq ft) room and no clue what i was doing :') those were the times
