For my first grow I am going to use FoxFarm Ocean Forest potting soil and FoxFarm nutes because they seem like a very good choice from everything I've read. I know you shouldn't start feeding the nutes for a couple weeks but the question I have is, is it ok to put your seedlings directly into this soil or will the soil be too harsh for them ?

yes way to harsh! you should use light warrior or grodan cubes.

yes like socolkid05 says way to strong !! You could mix the two together 2pts lw 1 pt of for your 1st transplant ! works great 4 me !!

Ocean Forest is too hot but when I first started I had great success with starting germinated seedlings in it. I wouldnt recommend it but like i said, it worked for me. lol. good luck.
