Not sure if the info can be leaked yet, I'll post it up after speaking with the right people.Got any pictures of the new equipment
Soon boys... Very soon...Let hey some test results green... quit holding out ;)
So gavita vrs powerbox, Both with Phillips bulb, What is the difference in output???Not sure if the info can be leaked yet, I'll post it up after speaking with the right people.
Gavita does have a specific frequency with the Phillips 400v bulb and after extensive testing with a pricey Spectrometer and PAR meter, the Gavita is on the top for output.
In my opinion there isn't a fixture that can beat the Gavita for efficiency. It was tuned specifically to run the Phillips making it the perfect combo. So gavita vrs powerbox, Both with Phillips bulb, What is the difference in output???
Gavita's digistar is the shit and the phantom is the other that I would recommend for your DE application, they support the 400v.@GR33NL3AF
Hey man, Ive done a little looking in on these DE bulbs and so on. I have been told by 2 different sources that Phillips is getting out of the horticultural lighting biz. (Which I find hard to believe.) You have any insight? Same folk say Ushio is going to be the go to source for the similar results of the Phillips bulb that gavita has their name on.
Also what ballast other than gavita pro would you recommend running in a remote ballast setup with an ushio or phillips DE bulb? It appears the Galaxy turbo charge or phantom would work well, and save a buck or two in the mean time.
thanks
Can't say yet, we have done the tests but the numbers won't be published until we're done testing everything. How did the gavita do against the sunlight DE Boss and AC-DE paired to a gavita remote ballast and Phillips bulb
ya that makes the most senseIve heard the same as green punk but what i heard was philips didnt want to be connected to the MJ business and gavita was going to start marketing bulbs under their name(maybe still manufactured by philips but branded gavita?).Doesnt make sense for philips to get out of all horticultural lighting though, they seem to be the biggest in the business, gavita has been eerily silent lately. Its also possible philips has some kind of exclusive with e-pap maybe?
Notice on gavitas facebook it mentions gavita bulbs but no reference to philips,
