Hi,

How young can plants be (from cuttings) when you can succesfully take cuttings off them, just say two off each?

I don't have much room at all and keep running fems and want to run some regs and find a nice mother to keep for a while. The hard bit for me will be keeping the two cuttings of each pheno while I flower, dry, cure and test them!

It would be much easier for me if I could take the cuttings, root them in jiffy pellets and then transplant them into 4 inch/1l pots, and then take cuttings from them before having to pot them up into bigger pots. They would only be in the small pots for a few weeks before been root bound. Would this be possible?

This may be a stupid question, sorry, I've never had anything to do with cuttings before, only ever fem seeds!

Thanks for any help guys!

Totally possible, but if I understand your question right you're wanting to take cuttings from very young plants. I would allow them to grow for at least several nodes' worth of height before taking anything off. Soon enough they'll pretty much explode and you'll have more than enough plant material to work with.

With average grow rates you can take one or two cuttings from seed around day 40. I used to be in your situation with very limited space. Best of luck.
Peace
