Just wondering if someone has a link to in detail guide on ppfd onthe SF G3000. I’m also curious if this is too close to the plants or if it’s about right? I’m looking for about 300-500 ppfd at the plants height. It’s set at about 45%

So you think if I had it at 16” I could dim it down to 50%ish and hit my 300-500 PPFD mark?

Well first of all there is no ppdf mark. The plant will tell you where to set the light power by observations.

This does not mean knowing the number is not important. It will keep you in the lane but watch the plant for signs of poor light management.

The math does work out as long as the power is very steady from 100 to 50.

In addition when you do start measuring your lights you will see how limiting the pattern is. You have a brights spot in the middle and less as it goes towards the edges.

Now important.
Physical property of light energy. When you start getting some hight differences in your plant you need good energy to penetrate the canopy. A light at 100% power that is high is better than a light at 50% power that is close to the plant. Build your canopy 14 inches deep and strip stuff below this in flower as down low you will have very little energy.
Good luck and get you a tool to measure lights. They have ones that work fine for $30
