I bought one about a year ago because my cheap phone only went to 17k. They are good to even out the light spread. I couldn't understand why everyone was recommending 60-80k lux, when that much light would kill anything I grow. Then last week I got a new phone, and its not even close. What I thought was 45k is 65k lux on the phone.
So which one is right? Doesn't matter as long as you know what your plants like. You just can't rely on someone else's recommendations.
I think they are a good tool as long as you know they aren't very accurate. Getting even distribution is a big deal.Didnt u on my last grow recommend me to get a light meter ?
Yeah don't worry these ones look like they are gonna pull through in that soil blend they look pretty solid.thanks it seems like with each grow i worry more and more
Good idea. I used an app on my phone on previous grows and on my last grow I bought one of these and it's amazing how without the meter I would've had no clue that the right side of my light produces a little more than the left. Now I arrange my plants slightly to the right of the light and get perfect coverage.got this today
They look happy. Depending on which meter I use, they would give them either 20k lux or 35k lux. That's how inaccurate they are. You just have to figure out how yours reds and find the happy place. They look good now. How high is the light? Mine would be about 20-24"tonight i feed with 2 tbs of happyfrog and 1 tbs of epsom salt water was ph 6.3

I’d use a PPFD/par meter, Lux is kind of a pointless metric, doesn’t factor in spectrumDidnt u on my last grow recommend me to get a light meter ?
Unless you got $400 for a ppfd meter shitty lux meter is all you get. The phone apps are just a lux meter with a conversion factor built in. Not accurate, every meter reads different.I’d use a PPFD/par meter, Lux is kind of a pointless metric, doesn’t factor in spectrum
and of course you can use it and use conversions from Lux to par
Yea those things are expensive….Unless you got $400 for a ppfd meter shitty lux meter is all you get. The phone apps are just a lux meter with a conversion factor built in. Not accurate, every meter reads different.
