I was gonna say use "Duct tape", every handyman's secret weapon...Right?Wrap it with a pipe cleaner or something soft and give it 3 or 4 days and it will be fine. No tape or staples please.
I would smear a thin coat of raw honey on the break also to prevent any issues.

Seriously though, we had 2 branches broke on our last grow, we used pipe cleaners around it for a few days, more if needed, they'll build callouses around the wound and in no time you can remove the "crutches", no problem!
We have pics somewhere too, but gotta look for them...lol...UPDATE: Pics below, calloused where the wounds were...
You can bend and train them as soon as they get more than an inch tall. Bend the main, That's how Bonsai are made.Ya man it will be fine but in the future wait for the plant to be more mature before you start super cropping. Never the main stem only the side branches and very top of the main stem. Once they gain some size then super crop and lst your branches. I could barely wait my first go around too I tied my main branches over when they were super young lol be patient that’s the key.
That’s exactly what mine reminded me of were bonsai. Ya that stem was to solid to try to train tho.You can bend and train them as soon as they get more than an inch tall. Bend the main, That's how Bonsai are made.
