1 - My plants are in the 3rd week of flower and I have 2 questions if I may. Are the additional buds going to form new flowers or will they stack up with the terminal bud? I feel like these need to go away because of where they are growing from but, if they're part of the single/large bud structure I don't want to get rid of them right?
2 - I circled an area that has two small nubs coming off the main branch. What are these?

These are 8 cola plants.
Thanks

Everything looks good. All of what you are seeing will fatten up and merge together with the other buds to form your colas. The massive colas you see others growing are many nodes tightly stacked with fat buds that have merged together. Just look out for any new growths forming much further down the plant (bottom third) and remove those before the plant wastes too much energy on them. Anything at the top third should form your colas. Middle third should be mostly fan leaves to act as batteries for the top growth and to be used for early indicators of stress.

Here is what it will grow into. The buds will grow along the stem. If they do not close up it will look like the smaller tops at the lower right. If they grow dense enough into the top they get nice and long.
When you start to clean your harvest you will see that large buds are made up of many smaller buds growing next to and not intertwined. Leaving them bunched up looks Kool in the bag but care must be taken to cure properly or you can get mold.

If you took a bud and stretched it out it would look like hundreds of nodes like what you circled all stacked up together and branching out every which way.

Those just the preflowers or first flowers to form and start at the first nodes then work up what you circled.

That's what the buds are calyxs your just looking at two in the picture and when a bud grows hundreds and thousands all clumped together.

Some clever symmetry at work
