Stipules telling sex

U cant remember what thread or who I was talking to that told me he sexes llants by them.

Trying to tell me if they are crossed female and if if not crossed male.

Well I'm putting this thread out there to prove that wrong this is a Bruce banner auto and in the pics you can see the stipules clearly crossed and in the other pic clearly this plant is a dude.

Not trying to knock anybody as I have put no names but trying to clear up some misinformation.

I think it was male stipules never cross, but females can be crossed or not.. Also dont remember who that was that said it though.
