i am about two weeks into my first indoor grow and i notice that even though my ph of my water and nute mix is 6.0 when i test the ph of my soil its still hovering right above seven. should i drop the ph of the water to try to get the soil to drop quickly or just keep giving it the 6.0 and let it drop slowly?

running fox farm grow big
and cal mag for veg, thank you for any help in advance!

I run foxfarm happyfrog soil.. and I've been taught to never ph your water between the water you use and your soil it should and the nutrients it will buff its self out...I never ph up anything anymore no need for meters

Probably not a bad idea to pH your input a little lower. I pH to 5.8 in 100% coco. I wouldn't do more than that.

I started in coco back in September. I ph-ed to EXACTLY 5.8 with distilled water. That became impossible because I ran out of distilled water constantly. So i started ph'ing tap water. Ran out of ph down and just run tap water with nutes now. Ph varies from 6.8 to 7.2. The plants behave no differently. Big beautiful plants.

The only draw back I have is calcium or lime build up on irrigation heads cause clogs. RO systems also suck for me. 3 gallons of water wasted for 1 gallon of filtered. I'll get a distiller for next year, but not for ph.
