Hi,

These 2 girls are 36 days old as of today. Ive provided 3 photos; Friday, Sunday, and this morning (Monday).

Ive been LSTing quite a bit but have stopped (started very early).

Im here to ask if the stretch period is over or will they likely stretch more? Im worried that yield will be adversely affected if the stretch period is over already? And if not, how much vertical height are they likely to gain?

Thanks!!

Hard to tell from the angle of the pics but they look pretty stacked and even so far. Seems like you did a good job with the LST and will maximize the yield from those. They don't really get "fat"until the last two weeks anyway, by then you won't even recognize those plants anymore.

Hi there! Thanks for sharing the details and the updates with the photos—it sounds like you've put a lot of care into your plants. To answer your question, at 36 days old, it really depends on the strain you’re growing. Most plants tend to stretch significantly during the first 2-3 weeks of the flowering stage, so if they’ve just started flowering, they might still have some vertical growth left in them. However, if they’ve been in flower for a while, the stretch may be tapering off.

LST early on was a great move, as it helps maximize light exposure and overall yield. If the stretch is slowing down, this might be a good time to focus on maintaining even canopy levels to ensure all bud sites are getting good light. Each strain has a unique growth pattern, so it's tough to predict exact height gain, but generally, plants can double—or even triple—their height during the stretch. Keep monitoring closely, and don’t worry too much—your yield won’t necessarily be adversely affected as long as your plants are healthy and getting the right conditions! Good luck!

raiskate32 is right on. Very strain specific question. At mid flower I still had plants grow up to the light. Apple Fritter Auto.
In addition I have noticed a trend for the flower runs to get taller as they contract from hardening up. During LST you introduce horizontal movement for vertical movement. During hardening it gives some back 😎
When running autos it can sometimes be difficult to know when to let the tops turn up and run. I had 2 I turned early and they had spotty fill in. 😩
