Super Sour Double Diesel-Equilibrium Genetics

Picked these up at the Oregon growers cup. Met the breeder and got to talk to him for awhile at his booth. I picked up 3 packs of seeds from him. The packs were labeled as 12 seeds and the vials were full of seeds. Like 50 or more in each pack...

It is said that these take 9-10 weeks. We are on week 8. I am not sure these will be done in 2 weeks.

Wish I did!
Just judging by the looks of the flowers.
The buds are just starting to swell means your ~week 6 flower.
Two weeks until the pistils got brown and the buds took their final shape ~one or two weeks until the trichs are ripen.

Never did 12/12 this early so maybe they ripe a quicker then most of my plants.

I like to watch my lady's, without checking trichomes to know if they're ready or not.
Ofc it's much more valid to check the trichomes...sometimes in my current case the trich won't ripe fast as I'd like them to.

Theyre actually in week 8 of flower and the pistils are still barely changing colors

Oh damn didn't catched that up.
Week 8 from flip or did you count after the stretch(actual flower)?

Some varietys, don't change all the pistils from white to brown and will be also at peak cloudy trichomes.(Never had some of them)

To me they look like they need at least two more weeks...I wouldn't chop them earlier tbh.
So many white pistils and they pack a lot of weight on for sure!

So yeah the buds have been swelling since about week 6 but each week they just keeping getting bigger and bigger without the pistils changing.

Breeder says they go 9-10 weeks but I think they may go 12. I can't imagine they'll be done in 2 weeks

Yeah I definitely am not cutting them anything time soon. Might start to check trichomes next week but they're mostly just pistils and sugar leaves. It'd be hard to find bud to look at the trichomes lol

That is a great sign!
Staying longer in the budding phase without changing pistils is what everybody loves to have.
Kinda like first world problems
I'd keep the phosphorus feed high as long they're swelling.

Take every breeders advises only for you to know how long they take at least, almost all will take longer!
The 12 weeks you're thinking about should be on point.
I just mentioned they take at least two weeks longer so y keep em running and don't chop early, as many growers like to(me included some times ago, because listening to breeders flower time).

Perfect, just keep em running at peak light and feed and y're good!
Not necessary to check them, start when most pistils (~80%) got brown, before they most plants won't be ready.
The lower parts of the plant also take longer then the top so, if the top is ready the lower parts maybe don't, keep em a couple of days longer, it pays out, rock solid popcorn buds can be good as well. Don't see any in your case just fat colas comming along!
