Carbon is not a prerequisite to quality, safety, or sustainability.

Maybe "sustainable" from a co2 output perspective, but you can't grow rockwool.

How is using more energy and resources to grow coco "better" than making rockwool? Nevermind it's not an inert substrate, and needs much more water per irrigation. Maybe it's not an issue for hobby growers who don't have to watch their environmental impact, and only mind their pockets. One is a designer substrate for growing plants, and the other is a byproduct of an agricultural sect with good growing properties. Big picture: rockwool is better than coco in every aspect.

Because when the world economy collapses they wont be able to produce rockwool, but coconuts will always be around.

Seriously though, in "sustainable development" yeah rockwool is better. And when the UN takes over with a NWO nobody will give a shit about sustainable development.

Despite what you may have heard or read...coco peat is vastly superior to rockwool as far as environmental impact is concerned. Grodan has been on a campaign as of late to convince you otherwise because believe it or not...cocopeat id gaining in popularity ( not just growing cannabis either) and that company is starting (has been actually) to feel in in thier bottom line. Believe that.

"designer substrate for growing plants" um you mean volcanic rock that was orig used to make insulation but works for growing plants.

No shit...tell them huge greenhouse vegetable production complexes that they are using "designer substrate.. Whatever that means. Lol.Rockwool and Coco Coir has far surpassed soilless peat based mixes awhile ago for commercial hothouse food production.
