Switching from coco to grow blocks, best size for flowering clones

I am currently running a flood and drain setup using coco, but want to try using grow blocks this time.
Will 4x4x4 grow blocks be big enough for freshly rooted clones to complete just a flowering cycle of 8 weeks.

how much veg time ? and what kind of strain, is that mainly indica

Two 4 inch blocks stacked on top of each other is not enough to house the roots that you need to flower, I tried it with a flood and drain table, and the roots just piled out the bottom of the cubes and had now were to hide from the light, ended up potting into two gallon pots.
